I've had my chest x-ray

I think you must be waiting for discharge now Dreamy.
I hope all goes to plan.
I will watch for updates on this thread.

Yes, I’m just waiting on the pharmacy now, then a taxi going home. One good thing is that I haven’t spent any money this week apart from the fiver I had when I came in.

That came in handy when I wanted a ginger beer and an ice cream from the shop.

Now I am smiling.
Ginger beer eh?
Safe journey home my lovely.
See you later.

I got back at 4:45 and to be honest there wasn’t much unpacking to do; just the substitution of clean clothes for the dirty ones. MY 2 bags remain in the hall just in case of any more 5am disruptions.

I even spoke to an ex oncology specialist today about how come twice in succession, after a week’s hospital stay I’ve needed hospital treatment by the early hours, going from healthy to very sick quite quickly. She mentioned the chemotherapy and bugs, my white nutrophils and a few other things. At least this time I have 2 strong antibiotics home with me. And the greater the distance I put between my last chemotherapy and now, the less chance of this happening again.

I have to visit the hospital again on Thursday for a CT scan and don’t mind as long as I am healthy.

Pleased to hear you’re back home now Ffosse. Let’s hope that is the last of the emergency admissions and that you are now on the road to good health.

Great stuff, I echo Vals’ post.

Well, I did it! I woke up feeling fine - I was pretty nervous going to bed but slept very well only waking up once at 2.

Nothing much going on today - I’ll have to get some food from somewhere but I’ll put that at the back of my mind for now and enjoy my coffee.

Yay, I am glad you are feeling better today Dreamy.

As Sweetie Pie did, I have just caught up with this thread, Ffosse. I’m sending wishes to you that you’ve done well with yourself today. You keep positive thoughts, and keep us posted.

You are on the mend…you are on the mend…you are on the…(positive printed thoughts)

Thank you both - I’ve been going through my medications this afternoon and there are 24 boxes of stuff I no longer need or have a huge surplus off.

It’s off the chemist with them tomorrow.

Yay! One day at a time…

Great to hear Ffosse, keep up with that positive thinking!

Well, I got to the shop with a bit more energy than usual. I still had to stop briefly but nowhere near as bad as on some days.

THis could be my energy coming back as the chemo wears off.

That is very good to hear Dreamy. I pray it continues.

I’m still using a taxi to the hospital for my CT scan tomorrow but may get the bus back even though this involves a fair bit of walking downhilll on the way back.

A friend is going in for a stem cell implant and has been told that he will be in for 3-6 weeks so I plan on visiting him a couple of times and will aim for getting the bus back.

Just don’t push yourself too far Dreamy.
Lovely that you are making plans to support a friend.

Well, he’s been incredibly good to me, going to my house, collecting clothes and my mail, checking that there are no perishables to go off.

You have good friends Dreamy:lol:

My energy levels are picking up. I managed it easily to the store today and feel better than I did pre-infections. I really hope I don’t get another infection as my antibiotic course finishes today.

That is good to read Dreamy.
I hope this continues. No more infections, take care. X
