I've had my chest x-ray

Dreamy I guess you have been moved now.
Maybe some of the Gentlemen may be nice to chat to.
I hope this is the case.

It’s not so bad plus I’ve been told I can go home as long as I keep taking my anti biotics. The bug I’ve got they don’t know the name of yet, and it’s delaying my chemo but I want to get home; in total, I must have spent over a month in hospital so far this year.

At least you can go home Dreamy, that is good news.
I hope you get a good nights rest.
I will look out for your post tomorrow.
Sweet Dreams.

You’ll feel better when you’re home and in familiar surroundings Ffosse. I hope they will have good care for you there. Won’t you need dressing changes etc?

I’ll need my neck dressing changed one last time, but there are stitches there that will have to come out at some point.

I’ve been told that I can go home tomorrow, now, and can’t wait - everything gets very samey in hospital after a while.

Hello Flosse i also went for a chest x-ray Monday just gone, so i to am waiting for the results good luck with yours.

That is good news Dreamy. You are bored I know that.

They decided to let me go early with a mountain of antibiotics to take.

Still, I’m relieved to be home - 2 and a bit weeks in hospital is never nice although the staff do their best and the food was good, I relish my independence more.

The house is freezing (am glad I remembered to switch off everything when I left) so I’ve put on the central heating and my little space heater next to me.

I’m hoping that I can resume my chemotherapy soon (will see the consultant next Tuesday). But I hope I don’t have to go into hospital again for anything.

Me too Dreamy just replied to you at the bar.
Make a nice hot water bottle, I find them comforting.

Just made a nice hot water bottle.

Ah, that is better, now you are warm.
Do you have food in?
You must eat Dreamy.

I’ve got some bite-size Shredded Wheat and some chocolate biscuits but will only be shopping locally, ie the Co-Op for the next few days as Im tired and worn down.

Sleep well Dreamy.

I’ve only just seen this thread Ffosse and can empathise as I’m currently undergoing chemo treatment too. Mine is two weekly and I find I have one good week and one when I feel exhausted and don’t feel like doing anything. Unlike you though, I’m eating like a horse, even waken up in the night feeling hungry! I’ve missed cycles too through infections, but I’ve found that enables my body to get something like back to normal. Do hope you soon feel better and please try to stay positive!

Thanks, Val J.
Yes I do hope I can get rid of my current infection and get back to the chemo sessions soon.

This is my second cancer, having had Hodgkin’s Lymphoma in 2016 I now have non-Hodgkin’s which is incurable yet treatable.

Good Morning Dreamy
I hope you slept OK.
Make sure you get some nice food.
Hope to see you posting later.

Hope you’re having a good day today Ffosse. Unfortunately our chemo unit closes down for a few days over Easter, I guess yours will do too. Anyway hope you get your treatment soon and that it will make a big difference to your condition.

Val I did not know you were going through this, as well as Dreamy (Ffosse). My thoughts and prayers will now also be with you.

Thanks Sweetie, it is appreciated. I’ve had 6 cycles of chemo so far and see the oncologist in a couple of weeks to discuss the way forward but my last meeting with him was very positive.

Glad you’re doing well, Val J - I’ve been feeling pretty rough these past few days with infections and all the medications for them.

I see the Haemotology Consultant on Tuesday, though.
