I've had my chest x-ray

Stop the nonsense. The end, certainly not.
You are much stronger than you think Dreamy.
Catch you later.

Technology has moved on since you last had cancer. A proton therapy centre should be opening in the next few months. When do they let you know the results of the biopsy?

It should be today or tomorrow-theyā€™re hoping itā€™s Hodgkinā€™s lymphoma once more.

I got told that if I stopped all treatment and went home, just didnā€™t bother anymore, Iā€™d have perhaps weeks to live; if I work with them, then possibly years.

Got a face time call from a friend in Oklahoma City this morning, though, and it really cheered me up.

I also visited the Maggis centre part of the hospital which works with positive mental health training - they were all nurses before or other health professionals who now help with positive thinking (which is where I come unstuck - I flip from one thing to another).

Listen thatā€™s their opinion based on the current state of play. Bear in mind that cancer treatments are progressing in leaps and bounds. So itā€™s a case of hang in there and the treatment that helps should come along.

Itā€™s great your friend had a positive impact. It is no good being isolated as you are. Too much time to worry.

What are you having for lunch.?

Just had it - fish, chips and peas, apple tart with custard.

Bless you, Annie, you tell him girl.
Dreamy we are all here to help.

Iā€™m jealous of the yummy lunch! At least the food is decent. Sounds like a very good hospital.

The food is indeed good; they make it all from scratch.

Hmmmm - you might need that wheel-chair to wheel you out of there matey when your treatment is finished, as youā€™ll be several sizes larger!!!

Iā€™ve been eating shedloads, not just because of the good food but also the steroid Iā€™ve been on.

Now awaiting teatime after my radiotherapy, a ham salad tonight.

Am told I can perhaps go home for a day, Sat/Sun night, see how I am, but still donā€™t have the biopsy back yet.

I am told, though, that I am officially flu-free, no more masks for me leaving the ward or staff coming in.

Flu free that is good.
Your immune system must be doing OK, in spite of all your treatment.

Was able to visit the shop and buy some razor blades without the mask.

Thatā€™s good Dreamy.

Am unsure about going home for a couple of days tomoroow as it will be late Saturday and dark. May go home early Sunday instead.

I agree with that Dreamy.

Dreamy I just wanted to say Good Night and Sweet dreams. x

Thank you.

Iā€™m fine - just woke up the once needing some pain control.

Breakfast coming back on me a bit - had some Peptac.

A doctor came to see me and agreed that I could get home after my radiotherapy today; sheā€™s going to try and get me down there earlier today so it shouldnā€™t be pitch black when Iā€™m going.

Have you found tje mobility in your arms is improving since the radiotherapy and steroids?
