Is it true that men seldom make passes at women who wear glasses?
I suppose, these days, most modern women wear contact lens and that saying goes out of the window?
What do you think… is it true? Or have glasses, never cramped your style?

Never bothered me. Looks is not important what is important is the person behind the glasses.
While it’s true that I never make a pass at women it has nothing to do with her wearing glasses. They can be attractive with or without them.
I don’t get men making passes at me with or without and I’m glad because I’d panic and not know how to deal with it LOL.
I wear specs, I once tried contacts and couldn’t even get them in my eyes as I kept moving my head away from my finger when trying to put it in. I left the opticians in a huff that day lol.
I think some women look lovely with specs. There is a lady news reader, Kate Silverton
The only pass I get from men these days is when they pass me by. I didn’t need to wear glasses back in the days when men did make passes at me, so no good asking me if the old saying is true or not.
Kate Silverton looks fabulous in her specs - I bet men don’t pass her by 
I’ve never had enough confidence to make a pass at a woman, but if I ever did pluck up courage, I would probably actually look for one with poor eyesight.

So I suppose it’s true of men too…
I generally think people with glasses look more intelligent
So I would definitely be MORE interested!

I don’t like this ‘look’ though… as worn by Jenni Murray. I mean what good are they perched near the end of your nose?!!
I suppose if they are reading glasses, that position would be practical.

How many pairs of glasses do you have?My BH has about 10 I think.One for this and another for that and she can never find any of them 
But JBR, you’re not reading all the time as you go about your daily life.
I wear glasses for reading but occasionally l tend to stick them on my head and l know l shouldn’t! Or, keep them in my pocket until l need them.
I have two pairs, these ones change to dark when I go outside in the sunshine…they cost me over £400 each…
…I won’t buy cheap glasses. not where my eyes are concerned.
Then I assume that it’s just a ‘fashion statement’. Yes, there are many people like that.
A lot wear them as a fashion accessory Art…my two oldest sons did…they don’t need glasses, I think quite a few wear them still now, even celebrities…
I can’t see a thing without mine…
