Is It True ....That Men Seldom Make Passes At Women Who Wear Glasses?

I only started wearing glasses when I was in my early 50’s & was then married & had been for 30 odd years, so it doesn’t apply to me at all. :grinning:

Oh I do this all the time! They are getting loose now so I had better get them tightened up or I’ll end up losing them on the floor and standing on them like I did before. :frowning:

Pixie, my biggest fear is, sitting on them!!

You need one of those strings that go around your neck. They used to be quite fashionable!

or losing them down the loo :open_mouth:

Pfffft!! Not a chance…I hate dangly things around my neck I’d end up choking myself or snapping it by accident. This is why I don’t wear necklaces. I love them, but they don’t love me, sadly.

I have sat on my glasses and trod on them in the past…that’s why I had to get these, my eyes needed testing anyway, so all good, plus I love my new glasses.

@Artangel just how far off topic is this thread

JBR, Years ago, l got two of those chains for Christmas but l felt like the third member of the act … Hinge And Brackett!!

About 40% I would say…we ARE still talking about glasses, so technically… :woman_shrugging:

I forgot to say, I’ve been chatted up by men ,mostly in the gym, had to beat them off with a stick,:joy:

But I thought the thread was meant for the guys to answer if glasses impact their intentions but if the OP is cool then I guess it’s ok.
:face_with_hand_over_mouth:

Don’t start me on that BBC News Woman, who has her Glasses permanently stuck on here head, some sort of fashion statement. :bike:

I use reading glasses when I am on my PC. I also have an aided collection of my wheelie bins, so when the bin man comes to collect it ,he has to pass my study window and always waves to me.
Do you think he is making a pass at me when I wear glasses?

Since I met her, V has been more than enough for me so, I’ve never felt the need to make a pass at another woman. In any case, in today’s politically correct world wouldn’t it result in you getting into trouble?

In my case the answer is no, it’s not true. I do however think my Lovely Cousin once thought it was. I’d been wearing glasses since I was five. She had a crush on me when we first met and she had to start wearing glasses two years later.
The first time I saw her wearing them she took one look at me, shrieked in horror, hid her bespectacled face in her hands, and ran indoors to hide.
Presumably she feared the object of her desires would find her unattractive.

I made a pass at her when she was sixteen. We have been married for thirty eight years, and both still have to wear glasses

It is not important to me, if a woman wears glasses or not.
Or how they look. A friendly smile and request how they are feeling today, often makes their day. Only trouble is, I am often been accused of flirting. But I only want to be nice.
