Iām worse than Scottish, Iām an Aberdonian. So I cut my own hair. Cost of clippers = Ā£30. Expected duration of working clippers = 15 years. 10 cuts a year. Target cost per haircut = 20p. Happy days.

Mrs mart was a hairdresser in working life. She still does mine the old fashioned way with hair between the fingers and scissors. From watching others in the barberās having a haircut, they look only to use a comb and razor. Not so much skill Iād say but always expensive.

Car boot sales need cash, if you are just clearing out stuff you donāt want, but someone else can use, who would want or have the means to take cards. That is stupid.

I always have cash in my wallet but I use my debit card all the time even for small purchases. I hate having change in my pocket.
