Well, this thread is about the antics of the Liberal Party of Australia and the state member of the NSW Liberal Party was charged and resigned on the same day as I posted, that is how news happens.
The election in question is on the 14th September. Elections here are always held on a Saturday and voting is compulsory - or rather getting your name ticked off on the electoral roll is compulsory, what you do with the ballot paper is up to you. We get a 98/99% turn out so no one complains about the result.
oh that is funny - people hijack Bruce’s post about happenings in Australia with arguments about Trump, politics in US etc - and complain about defection of the subject.

Well sir, with all due respect, the title implies “Liberals in general”,I am a moderate Liberal, but I recognize the importance of the “input” of all parties in a Democracy. I have read your postings both here, and in Buzz50, and have no doubt about your sincerity., but I would be remiss to not question whether it is "in general " or regarding your particular political situation, there is extremism in both Conservatism and Liberalism, and both are roads to tototalitarianism.
Check your bias, I’ve been talking about liberals. Need to check who is mentioned directly of people outside the original conversation.

Small-l liberal refers to people who are ideologically liberal but are not necessarily members of a political party named “Liberal”. It may refer to: Liberalism in Australia.
Check yours, my post was addressing Bruce, not you, we all know what you represent.
