Once you get it home it would pay to learn how to backup the entire drive to an external one.
I fully intend doing something sensible with it.
Such a shame OH didn’t show me how to use the external hard drive
Maybe do a course? Might be one about somewhere - or maybe home tuition on how to do various things on computers / macs?
Home tuition would be nice. Then I could ask silly questions in comfort without feeling embarrassed
There’s a Mac expert in OH’s family but sadly he lives a few hundred miles away

Hmmmmmm … possibly, but at the moment she’s too snugly in bed to care 
And here I am on my iMac … this feels very odd and something’s wrong with my mouse. The scroll thingy seems to be working backwards
And having spent almost an hour on the phone with a technician who was trying to recover my iPhoto (ie ALL our personal snaps) it came to nought !
Think the whole lot have been zapped

What is it ?
It is an Apple Mac Pro. Does the same thing as your iMac in a way but would need stuff to go with it - keyboard, mouse - screen etc. Just like a bare-bones computer.
Oh … A Big Mac isit 
Very interesting design. I like the way the cover slides off and how all the components are easily accessible. You would think such a thing wasn’t an easy device to upgrade but far from it as it is very easy once the cover is off.
It is also very powerful. It really is impressive what it is capable of.
So having sent a goodly amount of time chatting with the Apple techy man, my pics appeared … briefly and I was wildly excited.
He made me click a load of stuff and then I had to wait for things to download.
Hey Presto … it didn’t work.
Still no pics from my past 
and he hasn’t got back to me
And now I wate sum moor and then see if it’s dunnit.
