I'm A Celebrity 2022 - Jill is Crowned

I think voting is done by an app now , I’m unsure if a charge is still made for the call , or even for the app .

I don’t think the voting is correct because the producers will manipulate the outcome anyway

Still enjoying it though

I use the app. Yep, I know it’s sad, but I don’t get out much nowadays. :joy::joy:

Free to use.

I’m a recluse, get me out of here. :icon_wink:

Have you stopped voting for Matt for the BTTs …

Never did vote for him. Downloaded the app a couple of days into the series to deliberately vote for the others and give them a chance.

I had no idea who Charlene was but, for some reason, I didn’t like her from the start. Soon enough, of course, she exhibited a conceited and controlling personality so I was enlightened. Since then, of course, she took it upon herself to conduct “The Matt Hancock Interview” and, reacting to his answers out of earshot, commented: “Matt has a tough hill to climb and I, as a journalist, have to ask him.”

As Hancock was then grilled over his handling of the Covid pandemic and his Downing Street ‘rule break’ Charlene explained that her auntie had died during the first wave, meaning it was still a very raw subject for her and his excuse of ‘falling in love’ for flouting Government guidance was hard for her to stomach.

Now, it seems that Matt’s her best friend:

The pair were forced to work together when Hancock chose Charlene to be his deputy as he took on Mike Tindall in a battle to be camp leader and, after emerging victorious, Charlene asked him: “Does this win feel sweet, especially after you lost to Boris? Do you feel like you have been vindicated?” And, after Matt replying: “This more than makes up for it," Charlene added: “I’m super, super proud of Matt for winning one leadership contest.”

Turncoat …

Arrogant self important nonsense.

Will BG have to ask what MH’s favourite Culture Club song is? Will either comedian have to ask what his favourite comic routine/joke is? Will what’s her face have to ask his opinion on house prices and what makes for a good property? etc etc.

Of course not.

Jumped up little squirt, IMHO.

Campaign group 38 Degrees said the 35m banner circled the campsite for two hours

The families of some of those who died during the Covid-19 pandemic say they have flown a message over the I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! camp, demanding the removal of Matt Hancock.

Campaign groups 38 Degrees and Covid-19 Bereaved Families for Justice posted photos of a banner, which read: “Covid bereaved say get out of here!”

Hancock, who was health secretary at the height of the pandemic, is in the TV show’s jungle camp in Australia.

Broadcaster ITV has not commented.

In a statement, Lobby Akinnola from Covid-19 Bereaved Families for Justice, who lost his father to the disease, said: “Matt Hancock isn’t a ‘celebrity’, he’s the former health secretary who oversaw the UK having one of the highest death tolls in the world from Covid-19 whilst breaking his own lockdown rules.”

Matthew McGregor, chief executive of 38 Degrees, said: "No-one has forgotten how Matt Hancock conducted himself during the Covid-19 pandemic: not the general public, not his campmates, and certainly not those who lost loved ones.

“Our message emblazoned across the skies makes crystal clear to Matt Hancock: you should be representing the people of West Suffolk and giving Covid Bereaved Families the answers they deserve, rather than playing games for dingo dollars, plastic stars and a £400,000 paycheck.”

Well said …

Matt Hancock VII

Main Camp

A revolution is still being considered by Mike and Sue.

Another towel missing - Chris complains - is it George?

BTT - The Angel of Agony

A fiasco due to Baba’s incompetence in handling stars - George did the dirty work, Chris waited expectantly but the main in the middle let them down - 3 stars won.

Camp Entertainment

Matt (still the Leader) came in for some grilling again, especially from “journalist” Charlene, and he apparently enjoyed the experience (“like being on Mastermind”).

Others were running, dancing, singing and cat-walking … they still have energy, then.

“Deals on Wheels”

Another silly game but jelly babies were at stake … and were won … 2 each and they lasted a long, long time back at camp

Supper

Crocodile Feet (still with skin and claws) - one each, I think - not much meat, apparently, but they tasted like chicken.

Next Trial - Boiling Point

Baba excluded, George and Chris up - Chris to go … and he wasn’t happy.

I’m A Celebrity - First Elimination Betting Odds

Here are Bet365 odds on who is likely to be removed from the camp in the first eliminations (probably on Friday 18th):

Charlene White - 11/10
Matt Hancock - 9/2
Sue Cleaver - 11/2
Scarlette Douglas - 6/1
Boy George - 11/1
Sean Walsh - 12/1
Chris Moyles - 18/1
Babatunde Aleshe - 22/1
Mike Tindall - 66/1
Owen Warner - 50/1
Jill Scott - 100/1

The Morning Routine

George meditates - Hugs all round for the rest - Baba brags in the Bush Telegraph

Seann’s back is hurting from the hammock - Owen asks Charlene to sleep in her RV bed and give Seann her camp-bed but she won’t - other camp-mates try to persuade her, too

BTT - Boiling Point - Chris

Involving shafts, water and critters - Chris was panic-stricken and pathetic - 1 star

Main Camp

Scarlette is showing a “rude” side - she breaks up other people’s conversations with irrelevant references, as if bored - George and Seann were “victims” - she broke into George’s “grilling” of Matt about arms (weapons) to enquire about socks

A Day at the Beach with a Barbie (food)

This is the prize for 3 celebs who complete a series of (silly) challenges to win qualifying balls - all celebs have participated in one of three challenges - all have won balls, except Chris, Baba and Charlene - Sue gave her ball to Owen (to improve his chances of winning food) and George gave his ball to Charlene (for being “mum” (ironically?)) - more to follow tomorrow

Main Camp

A huge spider came looking for Charlene and was spotted on her camp-bed but no-one told her and, presumably, it moved on (maybe back to the RV) but Charlene won’t be - despite spiders, snakes and rats in the main sleeping area, she’s staying put

Supper

1 boney fish for the campers (Owen picked the bones clean), except for George who got 1 mushroom

Next BTT - 3 celebs will be selected by the campers themselves

I felt utterly emasculated. Had got my app up and running, and ready to click on the vote button as soon as they said the vote was open. I was shot down in a heap of despair and disappointment.

Day 12

Seann is sleeping in Owen’s bed - Owen had taken the hammock and found it impossible to sleep properly in it - Charlene still refuses to sleep in the RV

A Day at the Beach with a Barbie

Another challenge - for Mike, Owen and Jill to build up the number of (everyone’s) qualifying balls for the Tombola - highest was Owen - lowest was Sue

The balls were placed in the drum and then drawn at random - Jill, Matt and Sue - they were flown off to the beach - Babba, Scarlette and Matt were drawn to face a BTT

The Barbie was well supplied with prawns, sausages, steaks, salads, etc and all 3 celebs gorged

The BTT was a simple star-passing game with snakes, rats and frogs for company - Babba got the frogs but still freaked out - nevertheless, it was easy to obtain 8 stars.

Main Camp

Seann was expressing what, surely, the campers feel - Matt’s got the bed, the chair and a slap-up meal - for him, it’s a holiday camp. Time for a revolution … or at least a change of leader.

Supper

Eels - large but not particularly attractive. Charlene (Deputy Leader) broke the rules again by interfering with the cooking (Scarlette wasn’t happy about that).

Charlene still wouldn’t move to the RV but, heroically, took a hammock.

The Next BTT - Watery Grave - George and Charlene

Vote to Keep started - the loser leaves tonight - I hope that it’s Charlene - she’s conceited, selfish, opinionated and interfering

First elimination odds:

  • Charlene White 4/6
  • Matt Hancock 4/1
  • Sue Cleaver 5/1
  • Boy George 8/1
  • Scarlette Douglas 10/1
  • Seann Walsh 12/1
  • Chris Moyles 16/1
  • Babatunde Aleshe 25/1
  • Mike Tindall 50/1
  • Owen Warner 80/1
  • Jill Scott 100/1
