Don’t kid yourself … he likes older women with big attributes …
Almost missed the “kid” pun. Haven’t got anything to come back at you with (Ibex and nanny are drawing a blank).
Day 17
Sue leaves - George grabs her breakfast banana - Owen miffed …
BTT - Grot Yoga - Mike Seann and George
Basically, a buckets of gunge trial with the passing of stars between the participants - offal, fish guts, rotten veg and slime poured over the celebs as they assumed yoga positions and OM’d - not hard but distinctly unpleasant …
Eight stars won.
Creek Chat
More from George - his father, a builder, gambled £10,000 of company money on a horse-race …
From Wiki:
Boy George was born George Alan O’Dowd at Barnehurst Hospital, Kent, England, on 14 June 1961 and raised in Eltham, the second of five children born to builder Jerry O’Dowd. He was raised in a working-class Irish Catholic family; his father was born in England of Irish descent and his mother is from Dublin. He has one older brother Kevin, as well as two younger brothers Gerald and David and a younger sister Siobhán. Boy George also has an older half-brother Richard, who was born out of wedlock in Dublin in 1957 when his mother was just 18; she moved to London with him to start a new life and escape the stigma of being an unmarried mother.
Boy George has compared his family history to a “sad Irish song.” His maternal grandmother was permanently taken from her family at age six after being found outside the family home alone, and placed into an Industrial School. His great uncle Thomas Bryan was executed by the British in 1921 during the Irish War of Independence. According to Boy George’s mother, who published a memoir in 2007, Jerry O’Dowd was physically and mentally abusive and beat her even when she was pregnant with Boy George. Boy George said of his father, “He was a terrible father and a terrible husband.” In 1995, Boy George’s youngest brother Gerald, who has schizophrenia, was convicted of killing his wife in an episode of paranoia.
Deals on Wheels
Owen and Chris - solved a puzzle to get the dollars - the prize was the England football result and chocolate brownies - the campers got the answer wrong … again … Owen was pissed …
Supper
Ostrich Egg - always a favourite with IAC campers - cooked as an omelette - looks good and tastes good …
A Night at the Pub
The Jungle Arms - first the campers had to play silly ball games to obtain bar snacks then the bar opened, drinks were delivered and the bar snacks arrived (pizza, chips, crisps, etc) - eventually, it was karaoke time - as soon as Jill started rapping I skipped - for the campers, it was probably “the best night ever” …
Exit:
George, who gave a great interview, as always, and chose Mike or Jill to win …
Next Elimination Odds
- Chris Moyles 8/15
- Babatunde Aleshe 5/2
- Matt Hancock 7/1
- Seann Walsh 10/1
- Owen Warner 50/1
- Mike Tindall 40/1
- Jill Scott 80/1
Oops. Act in haste…
Exactly what I’d expect from George - push the envelope …
Most of the other celebs will be feeding the publicity machine to further their “careers” …
If ya wanna see life, watch old episodes of Escape to the Country.
Not a celeb in sight but, an education none the less.
Day 18
George leaves
The BTT - Critty Critty Fang Fang - Jill
A “flying” car was suspended above the jungle - there were stars attached but critters to bypass - Jill (in a fetching period dress) was hauled up and had to clamber over the vehicle to retrieve the stars - easy enough for those with a head for heights (Jill hasn’t) - nevertheless, 7 stars retrieved then the floor fell out of the car and Jill was dropped to hang in mid-air …
Deals on Wheels - Mike and Matt
A silly balloon game to collect letters to form words - cue Matt “I’m dsylxec” - Mike carried the day - “NINETY-NINE” - onto Kev, who was offering chocolate chip cookies.
The question was to add up the titles of Adele’s albums - Chris said 70 - WRONG - 95 is the correct answer … Moyles is a waste of space …
Creek Chat
It concerned Baba, who holds no interest for me so I skipped.
Supper
Hare and Flowers - the campers were not impressed.
Exit:
Baba - not interested so I skipped.
Now they are 6.
Jill is an amazing lady , hates heights but hung off that car wing facing her fears, I do like her another one who deserves to win
Why is Matt still in there
I am surprised that Matt Hancock is still there - There has been so much comment about how he should be doing the job we are paying him for, working for his constituency, that I didn’t think he’d get many votes to keep in him in the Jungle for long.
Maybe those who are voting for him think that, as he’s going to be out in Australia for the whole period of the TV Show, they’d rather leave him in the uncomfortable camp on food rations for as long as possible - the alternative is him leaving Camp early and staying in an all expenses paid luxury hotel until the TV Show finishes, so voters may be wanting to leave him in Camp until the last few days!
To be fair, he does seem to have coped quite well with camp life and he has done OK in all the trials and challenges.
I’m surprised that Chris Moyles has been kept in this long, because he seems neither use nor ornament to the group. I thought he’d be leaving quite early so it’s surprising to see him still there now we’re reaching the halfway point, while more capable and positive people have been sent out.
I wonder Who is voting for him and why?
Yes that’s a good theory because it’s the ones who leave early that are the lucky ones, a luxury holiday, keeping their fee and not having to do the trials.
Of course Hancock is no longer a conservative mp anyway and knows he’ll be replaced so maybe that’s why he’s not bothered about his constituency.
Next Elimination Odds
- Chris Moyles 8/15
- Seann Walsh 3/1
- Matt Hancock 6/1
- Mike Tindall 14/1
- Owen Warner 28/1
- Jill Scott 33/1
Matt Hancock may yet win IAC …
I don’t know who sets the odds and what they base it on but the list above is exactly the same order in which I’d get rid of the remaining candidates. I’d love Jill Scott to win and Owen and Mike have been excellent contestants - and I’d leave Hancock in camp as long as possible but not long enough for him to be able to claim any kudos of being in the final top 3!
Matt Hancock has been accused of breaking the rules on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here. The former health secretary is in the final six of the ITV reality show after entering camp as a latecomer earlier in the 2022 series.
It was spotted that Matt had a specific message for Babatunde as he embraced his fellow campmates and said his goodbyes.
As West Suffolk MP Matt went to hug him and was overheard saying: “Oh you are so wonderful,” before adding: “Will you say that to Gina?” While what exactly the Celebrity Gogglebox star needs to tell Matt’s girlfriend and former aide wasn’t revealed, Babatunde appeared happy to do what he asked.
It has been suggested that Matt’s request has gone against the rules when it comes to contact with the outside world. During the latest episode of Good Morning Britain on Thursday (November 24), the show’s entertainment editor Richard Arnold said of Babatunde’s exit: “It wasn’t just his goodbye that got viewers talking. Shortly before he left the camp, eagle-eyed viewers spotted Matt Hancock issue a potential rule-breaking request during a goodbye hug.” A clip of the moment then played out and as Richard started to say: “Sending a message to the outside world…” Susanna interjected: “Is that not allowed?”
“No,” Richard replied surprising Susanna and co-host Ben Shephard. “You’re not allowed to send a message to the outside.”
Surprise, surprise …
I don’t know why but I haven’t been watching… I have tried but the show just hasn’t caught my interest at all this year… maybe its because I started watching the Handmaidens Tale and I’m hooked on that which is excellent so its taking up my viewing time. Of the bits I’ve seen I still would like Mike Tindall to win… mainly because he is a Yorkshire chap …good enough reason
@Omah, am going through a touch of forum fatigue so will be taking a bit of a break. Off topic, I know, but out of respect thought I’d let you know that I won’t be logging on for a while but will still read your excellent reviews. Many thanks and keep up the good work
Day 19
Relief at a chant-free morning and hugs from Matt …
Baba leaves
The BTT - Savage Sorting Office - Chris and Owen
Will Chris redeem himself?
Owen was hung from a crane controlled by a blindfolded Chris - Owen guided Chris to enable the former to extract stars from mail surrounded by critters and offal - the star was then to be thrown into a postbox.
A simple game … but Owen’s throwing was unexpectedly poor - only 2 stars gained (Chris is, obviously, cursed).
The Creek Chat - skipped
Deals on Wheels - Jill and Seann
This involved ordering the planets of the Solar System - “How many solar systems are there?” asks Jill.
Success was achieved by trial and error - the question was answered CORRECTLY - and the prize was theirs … a third of a Mars mini-bar each …
Supper
1 small piece of venison between 6 …
Consolation
Matt, Mike and Seann were assigned an evening shift at “the factory” - assembling food items while wearing oversized rubber gloves and being assailed by critters - just a silly game …
Surprisingly, “I’m dsylxec” Matt read the task instructions and wrote a greeting on a cake without apparent difficulty …
Anyway, a full English breakfast was won for every camper …
Exit:
Chris - interview skipped - no interest
Now they are 5.
Two members of staff tested positive for the virus earlier this week, prompting bosses to tighten up safety measures in a bid to stop it spreading further.
An insider told the Sun: ‘Everyone is on high alert given it is so close to the end of the series. The producers have grand plans to make the final bigger than ever so no one is seen without a mask and there have been loads more people queueing up to get themselves tested on site. The team also closed down the night shift tent which sells snacks and drinks to the crew in order to give it a deep clean. Safety is paramount on a show of this scale and bosses are sure that the strict measures they have in place will mean that the final will still go ahead as planned.’
A spokesperson for the ITV series told MailOnline: ‘We can confirm a couple of production team members have tested positive for coronavirus. The protocols we have in place for such an eventuality have been implemented and filming has continued as we adhere to all covid guidelines.’
No problem …
Watching Chris guiding that crane with the weight of Owen it certainly seemed heavy he must have been holding at least 12 stone of solid muscle
Ouch those electric shocks must have jolted him
