If you could permanently delete one song from the face of the earth, never to be played or heard by anyone ever again, what song would it be?

So did I.
They were my favourite group of the 70’s followed closely by Wizard.

I bought two of their albums in the early 70’s

@Bretrick@carol there are some things you should just never own up to

My embarrassing confession is buying that David Soul song ‘Don’t Give up on Us Baby’…

Welcome to the forum, Woody67.

There’s no one quite like Grandma-The St. Winifred’s School Choir
I wish it could be Christmas every day -Wizzard( that’s the Roy Wood Group).

Wizard are an entirely different band!

Goodbye to you, my trusted friend
We’ve known each other since we were nine or ten
Together we’ve climbed hills and trees
Learned of love and ABCs
Skinned our hearts and skinned our knees
Goodbye my friend, it’s hard to die
When all the birds are singing in the sky
Now that the spring is in the air
Pretty girls are everywhere
Think of me and I’ll be there

We had joy, we had fun
We had seasons in the sun
But the hills that we climbed
Were just seasons out of time

Goodbye Papa, please pray for me
I was the black sheep of the family
You tried to teach me right from wrong
Too much wine and too much song
Wonder how I got along
Goodbye Papa it’s hard to die
When all the birds are singing in the sky
Now that the spring is in the air
Little children everywhere
When you see them, I’ll be there

And there’s more verses.“Seasons in the Sun by TerryJacks.”
Why anyone would want to listen to such misery is a mystery to me.

This is a Jacques Brel song that was translated and made more pop.
I find all of Brel’s music very depressing.

Unfortunately this topic reminded me of an old favourite (not) that used to get played on Radio 2 quite a bit.

Sylvia's_Mother_-_Dr._Hook

I’m sure some people love it to bits but it’s just so dreary and pedestrian. I can only imagine that Sylvia’s mother was losing the will to live by the second verse, probably couldn’t wait for the pips to go!

What about this?

Ha!!
Now that’s more like it.
I can’t recall Ken Bruce playing that version
