I need help to set a booby trap please

What about a trail camera, they are motion activated and camouflaged.

They didn’t mention that I would have to pay & I have no intention of paying.

I will have to wait & see.

But better in the long run, and something else less for Carol to worry about.

CCTV your neighbours sound nuts. Then get it sorted officially.

Maybe, if they move it only within the 1.5 metres, they may have units that are anti vandal, or harder to tamper with?

Or, a warning on how dangerous it is to tamper with, might help …but l think l might be being a bit naive on that one!!

“This meter requires deactivating by a licensed professional ONLY. Incorrect tampering of this device will result in death. Please do not TOUCH!!!”

How’s that?

Pixie, lf you just made that up then l am impressed! It sound very official… as long as they can read!!

Ah…reading, yes…well it might require modifying then:

“Carol Sez No Tuch or ELSS!!” with a scary face, a big jagged line, and maybe a skull…because these kind of people like their visuals, don’t they…

:

It would be good if Carol woke up to a Banksy mural on the side of her wall!!

Oooh! Now that would be fun! Carol would get a cage up then alright, those murals are protected I’m sure. But then…what if someone takes away the wall and sells it for charity?! Maybe not such a great idea after all :frowning:

Hi

Annoying Neighbours who have no respect for the law are very difficult to deal with.

You are far to nice to scare them Carol.

All you can do is collect evidence, report them and hope something can be done before they retaliate.

I refuse to be bullied, but am criticised on here by refusing to be bullied.

If you are near wiltshire I will knock you up a cut price Banksy
Carol

Move it 1./5 meters every month then it will be where you want it for free…not lessening the situation but tongue in cheek

Kazz, That’s a good idea! It will be moved so much, it will end up on a neighbour’s wall and they can pay Carol’s gas bills!!

It seems the gas board is responsible for my meter.
After a few excuses as to why they couldn’t do it - now they admit they CAN do it.

I shall ring the number they gave me tomorrow.

C&P below.

No worries Carol, we have a specialist team that deals with meter moves etc so you’d need to speak to them directly and they’ll be able to give you some advice on what we can do…

Good luck, Carol, and well done for making them take responsibility!

Hi Carol I’m so sorry to read about your unpleasant neighbours
Do take care as what you do next could inflame an already difficult situation

I wouldn’t do anything other than install security cameras back and front then present any evidence to the utility company and police .
I definitely wouldn’t go for paint.
Congratulations with the utility company success.

Well - I’ve done the full circle.

British Gas won’t touch it because we have our gas from e-on.

e-on deny any responsibility. They say we should report the vandals to the police & let them deal with it.

If we want it moving we have to pay. The cost is somewhere in the region of £1,000.

Stuff that!!

My vandal proof paint & a warning sticker has arrived. I shall be applying it soon…

Amazing how these companies shirk their responsibilities when it suits, isn’t it!

Carol, just one thought, if you put loads of that paint on it, are you going to be able to open the door yourself to read the meter?

Oh Carol!! What a huge carry on, I’m so sorry! You do the paint and take a photo of it for evidence, should you require it later on. Good luck and I hope your meter stays safe now!
