How Do You Cut Your Slice Of Toast?

Are these as good as homemade ones Spitty?

Not sure Minx, never had homemade Crumpet, I would guess any Crumpet that is hot and smothered with butter would be yummy.

Bloody anaemic if you skimp on the Tabasco sauce!

Crumpets are eaten every day in this house but not by me.I do prefer bread or muffins if I want some bakery item.

Our bread is cob shaped, a slice sometimes gets cut if it’s too long for the toaster, other than that is doesn’t get cut before or after.

If i get a cob loaf, I cut it first so I start in the middle and work out to the end. I usually crumble up the very end bits for the birds & squirrels.

Or, if it’s not for the toaster, tear it!

I can’t tear bread…I’m not a viking! :joy:

I also turn it halfway through, if it’s in the toaster, so it cooks evenly…I don’t cut it to size.

Toast, spread and eat.
We had a toast rack as a wedding present!
I do still cut into soldiers to dip into egg.
Sandwiches I cut in half lengthwise, so that you get crust on top of both halves.
