Just had an e-mail from Evri, asking how my delivery went, for goods we ordered from from Lakeland. I thought it was a scam, so I googled Evri. Turns out it is Hermes who have changed their name! Why on earth they did that, I’ve no idea. Could it be, that they have had lots of negative feedback? I’ve had no problems with Hermes, probably because it’s the same guy who brings my stuff.
It is still the same utterly useless delivery company, changing its name does not alter that.
If someone mentioned the name “Hermès” to me I’d automatically think the French fashion house … known for their ladies scarves.
Always found Hermes a very reliable courier whether it’s because the driver is a local girl I don’t know.
Hermes have always been very reliable in my area. Had a delivery this morning - asked the driver about the change of name. Guess what - they were actually taken over in 2019 by the American Company - EVRI - but the drivers/couriers were only told about it last Thursday!! He said some positive changes had been made but not all the staff were happy - especially about having not been told.
I don’t think I have had the same driver twice unlike DPD and DHL who’s drives I know by name.
I have also had Hemes Just dump my items outside the door and not bothering to ring or knock on the door.
But if we want cheap deliveries we will get a cheap service.
Is that Evri for
“Evri time we try to deliver your item, you aren’t in so we delivered it to someone else”
Nice one pixie.
I used to get Hermes on my upper lip.
Really painful!
Our Hermes delivery lass is very good and knows our address so well, her van can make it’s own way here.
There is a Hermes driver in another part of my town who is known to be very reliable and helpful. In fact if you tag him in a post on one of the local FB pages with a problem you’ve experienced, he will promise to look into it for you, even though it’s not on his round. We need more like him!
Personally I don’t think it’s just Hermes who are generally unreliable. I think it depends entirely on the driver you have in your area. I’ve heard horror stories from all the big couriers, and I’ve heard good reports from all of them too. It’s all down to luck where you live and which driver you happen to have in your little corner.
Every time I hear of a name change, I cannot help but think of Sellafield. Not that I can remember why they chose to drop the Windscale name…
I don’t think we get Hermes here in London. Never heard of them or seen one of their vans.
But they are Evri-where!
Evri parcel lost, Evri parcel left in the bush, Evri parcel damaged.
etc
according to this site …
My first delivery from Evri and it was supposed to here between 1300 and 1500 but it isn’t so I look at the app and it invites me to track my package except Hermes/Evri’s interpretation of tacking does not go beyond the time slot emailed.
Send them a furious email.
“Dear Evri-time-you-let-me-down…”
Me complain, what are you suggesting?
Well y’know…it could work
MrF, they’re going to make a film about you with a Cromwellian title…A Man (with Complaints) for all Reasons.
