Hello Everyone

May I join you? I’ve just registered with this forum, which I found completely by accident, so I’m hoping to be able to chat with you all.

I’m 61 years old and I live in Wigan, Lancashire. Anybody else from my part of the world on here?

I just love the idea of a Grumpy section! Will find my bearings then will have a yap with whoever will yap with me.

I’m making a mess already. Bear with me until I get my bearings on here. Ta muchly.

Hello Folks

Sorry, I just said hello in the General Chat section as I didn’t see this beforehand. Trust me, but this bit wasn’t visible before!

Hope to have a good yap with folk very soon.

Hello Mollie and welcome  glad you found us looking forward to chatting with you too …

Hi Meg, thanks very much. I’ve never used a board like this before, but I’ll soon get used to it.

Now that I can see all the different sections, I’ll have a toot round to familiarise myself.

This looks like a very nice, and a very safe, place to be.

Edit: I say Meg, I’ve just noticed that you’re in Worcestershire. I once lived in Lower Wick, Worcester, many years ago. A lovely place.

Hi Mollie and welcome! This is indeed a nice place to be, look around, you’ll probably find something interesting to reply to!

Cheers chuck. I’m already realising what a lovely place this is, and I’m finding my way around now. I’ll probably moider you all to death with my postings. Oh, moider means to pester!

Hi and welcome Mollie!

I’m 60 and I live in Toronto so I’m not part of your world, but we are still neighours.

Hi Mollie, and welcome from a very sunny southern Spain.

:039:

Hi Mollie  I am not far from Lower Wick where the lovely Bennetts ice cream comes from .
And I used to know Wigan well when I lived near Ormskirk many years ago. There used to be a nice restaurant there called The Turnkey which I guess is long gone.

Hi & welcome Mollie from sunny (today ) Northumberland.

Hi Mollie, a very warm welcome to you!

Looking forward to chatting with you!

Hello Mollie and a very warm welcome to you.

Hi Mollie darlin’ - I live t’other end of the country from you in sunny Sussex. Nice to meet you on here and look forward to reading more of your posts in the future

Well hello Mollie, welcome to the forum and I hope you enjoy it here.

I see that you hail from Wigan, Bickershaw festival 1972, mud, rain and more rain. Some of the bands were good though.
The Latics have a fine manager in Roberto Martinez just a shame he works for Whelan:twisted:

I look forward to your postings.

Hi Mollie, my husbands sister lives in Wigan, we used to live in Kidderminster in a past life! Hope you enjoy it, bye.

Hello everybody and thank you for the very warm welcome.

Hi Hammer. I’m afraid I know nowt about football. As to the Bickershaw Festival in 1972, well, that was the year I got married and moved to live in Germany so that by-passed me I’m afraid.

Anniemuldoon, which area of Wigan does your husband’s sister live in? If that’s a question you prefer not to answer I’ll understand perfectly.

I didn’t expect to get so many lovely greetings, and I already feel very comfortable on here.

Hi Welcome Molly,:mini: We have already met on one of the threads. I’m a Lancashire lass too. Born and breed in the Pendleside area now living in Colne. Enjoy your visits to the forum they are very pleasant people on here. Looking forwards to chatting again.

Yes, lass. We met on another thread but please please please, don’t call me Molly. I is a Mollie!

There’s some very beautiful countryside over in East Lancashire, although I’ve never been, but I’ve seen some terrific photos of it. :023:

Oh soz about spelling your name wrong Mollie I automatically spell the other version. We are very lucky the countryside around use is lovely with well known Pendle Hill being the backdrop. We have The Great British Rythme and Blues Festival here in Colne every August. That’s quite an event each year.Of course Wigan Pier will always be known for it’s famous Northern Soul scene.

Nay lass. Wigan Casino was the home of Northern Soul, not the Pier.

We have some lovely countryside around here as well, but we don’t have any hills like you do.

When I’m more accustomed to the forum, I’ll put some photos on of some of the nice places in and around Wigan.

Erm … yer nor’a witch are ya, coming from Pendle?
