Found this forum by googling; still shell shocked by Sagazone’s sudden closure!

I’ve kept the same username as I had on SZ, and will use the same avatar pic - when I find it!!!

I’ve been retired for some years, from a job I thoroughly enjoyed doing, as the English Regions Digital TV Technical Support Manager for the BBC. Partly because it was a new one which I was allowed to craft myself (hence the name!) Basically I co-ordinated the continued running of the technical plant through which DTT (Freeview) ran in the English Regions. It’s now centralised in a couple of sites.

My better half is also retired, and thus I have to share this laptop with her… So I’m on the web at random times.
Which is coming to an end right now as she wants to get on to design a card for the arrival in the early hours of one of our nephews latest .

Hi Richard,

Just arrived from the same destination myself, so welcome. Recognize the laptop sharing, we ended up buying a second one eventually.

We’ve just managed to do a card and the envelope. And, yet again, the Windows 7 laptop can’t be seen by the old XP desktop upstairs so I had to use a memory stick to transfer the templates!

Hi Dicki Mint, I remember that name; must have been on Saga. Not to bad on here. Just gotta sort a few things out; what are they on about… your welcome graphic code?

Hi uncle jo… you know how some people have a picture to say welcome to people that picture has a code made by Azz all you have to do is copy and paste it into your reply box and the picture comes up. there was a thread the other day asking if you wanted one made for you all you have to do is give azz your picture and message and he will sort it for you.

Thank you all! I’m sure this forum is going to be just great. I’ll be dipping in from time to time as I did on the closed forum that shall not be named (might damage it’s brand…)

Busy trying to get cheaper quote for my Contents Insurance which WAS with that zone’s owner, and is way expensive on renewal. Time needed to wade through what is and what’s not covered with each company. Funny example. One company will cover for damage due to a snow laden branch for example, and another excludes it!
