Heat wave reason for

I know why we have this continued heatwave,it is so obvious. Fishermen are to blame. Too many fish being caught. Fish swimming in the sea which keeps the water moving and moving water does not get hot. Colder sea therefore colder land mass.

Logic at its best

I’m not saying that your theory or logic is wrong. But.
There is self-evidently another factor adding to the heating of the local atmosphere. It begins when things get a little warmer. Then folk switch on the air-conditioning. More and more houses and cars have aircon. This is obviously to cool their rooms or vehicles. To do this the heat must be moved outside. Then the outside gets warmer. So more people switch on or even crank up their aircon. So this moves more heat outside. Pretty soon the outside grows from bit warm to a full on heatwave.
Perhaps the initial warming is caused by the lack of fish.

Glad you took the oppertunaty to impart that logic

I think you should scale this up

Before all these PC clean atmosphere directions, we had more tiny particles that partially blocked the suns searing rays/heat, so now the air is somewhat cleaner, more heat hits the earth’s surface. The climate change lobby has only got what it wished for :+1:

I’m enjoying all these theories … so guys, how do we make it rain?

Dancing? :open_mouth:

I was going to say cloud seeding  …but I don’t think we’ve ever done that in the UK.

Having had a quick Google it would seem that trial cloud seeding took place between 1949 - 1952. It was highly controversial even then. I imagine that the drought situation would have to be very dire for any government to admit that they were actively engaging in a cloud seeding programme. But hey - we live in interesting times!

more wars, keep the population down, its them that starts them

Checked the heat records in my area. Goes back to 1923 to current records. Last year was great weather wise year. Plenty of rain and two tied record highs. This year, no records yet and not many days ago n the 100’s.

Rain surely comes from large clouds of vapour. So we need to create large clouds of vapour. And vapour is steam. So we need to boil great quantities of water - build huge fires, use them to heat enormous lengths of steel until white hot, then plunge these into lakes. Again and again and again. Lots of steam which will form lots of clouds. And soon - rain!!
What could possible be wrong with this plan?

The lakes will have already dried up because of the droughts! :sob:

Yeah, breed more whales.
Bigger fish (mammals) more water movement, cooler seas :whale:

Not much of a heatwave up here. I read somewhere we have 90 percent of the UK fresh surface water up here in Scotland.

Yes, I have family in Scotland. The way things are going down here I’m going to ask if I can come up for a holiday…a very long holiday indeed!
