Hi

several large screen monitors connected to internet via computer. to own a tv would cost a licence fee. you would need a fibre or satellite connection or the speed would not be enough.
I have a couple of Android TVs and I tend to watch streaming TV. The only free to air TV I watch is the ABCs evening news at 7pm (just started)
No licence fee here, and with Internet TV who would pay it?
Non smart TV in lounge, connected to a Panasonic box which does all the internet stuff, records and plays DVD and blurays (although weāve never used this lattercfunction much). No smart TV in log cabin in garden, with Firestick hardwired to internet. Daughter has smart TV in bedroom.
Nothing smart in my house (yes I know ) Old fashioned TV in the lounge, and another one in the kitchen. A stick on the chimney and freeview is all we need here. Too many hobbies to watch TV, thatās reserved to when Iām too tired to do anything else. I still persevere with Coronation Street, F1 and most of the stuff on DMaxā¦This laptop is my only connection to the internet.
2 of our tvās arenāt connected to the chimney aerial, and although the Panasonic magic box is, I have no idea whether itās necessary or not as most things will come down tāinternet cable. (BTW, when we stripped rooms for decorating, I installed cat5 cable throughout with associated patch lead terminals in each room).
Threw the TV out in 2003 - havenāt missed it so far - so much else to enjoy.
You know the old saying about oneās last thoughts on oneās deathbed not being āI wish Iād spent more time at the officeā, well rather alarmingly it crossed my mind a few days back that I hope I live long enough to watch the final series of Doc Martin!!!
Somewhere along the line, my priorities have become somewhat confused
Iām sticking with the trusty 10 year old Sony Bravia and Sony DVD/Blu-ray player.
I watch very little TV, Antiques Road Show, Country File and historical documentaries, I rather like Lucy Worsley!
Other than that itās old Brit horror films on DVD
3 Smart TVs one in each Bedroom and one in sitting room , connected to Satelitte Dish to a Freesat HD Box , and my Broadband , so can watch YT , NETFlix, Iplayer, and Freeview stations .
But Im very picky on what I watch , and Youtube is mostly over my Laptop .and some TV programmes/films also
We have one in the bedroom which hasn`t been on for years, and one in the lounge which is used for around two hours a day.
I prefer youtube and thies forum, much more entertaining and informative.
Got two one smart tv in the lounge that is great for you tube radio and just tv watching then a smaller one in the bedroom just connected to a dvd player so if I cant sleep I can watch a film or old tv series. Cant imagine not having one I love you tube too much.
Large one in living room, smaller one Iām kitchen, smaller one in conservatory and even smaller one in bedroom.
John loves his TV especially science fiction. TV is Johnās pleasure.
I like to watch police programmes and hospital real life. Oh and Dickinsons Real Deal.
I font mind the occasional drama but Iām not really a massive watcher of TV as Iām always either out or in my craft/computer room
Hi
I love it when you talk this techie stuff.
I have no idea at all about what it means
Telly not connected to the internet Dexā¦Only the stick on the chimney.
2 tellys no aerial , I watch using Amazon fire stick or online.
Iāve Netflix.
Thinking about a Virgin Media package.
However not sure i watch enough tv to make it worthwhile getting.
Telly but no aerial here too, gave up watching live TV a couple of years ago when they stopped the free licence and now watch Britbox or Prime.
Three TVās, all terrestrial, one of which connected to NOW TV and Amazon, another connected to a server for my film stash.
Just one large smart TV in the lounge, connected to a Talk Talk TV Box that pathetically records just two programmes while watching another. Donāt really know why I bother since I have all the catch-up channels I need, and many other channels I either donāt need or ever watch.
Two medium size smart TVs, one in the living room, the other in the dining room. Essentially theyāre āhis and hersā TVs, his being the living room one, mine being the other one. We have a Virgin TV package, the whole shebang, because Mr B wants all the sports channels, and you canāt have them without everything else (I think thatās how it works). If it were just me, Iād do away with all that and stick to Netflix and Prime, which is almost all I ever watch.
