Certainly Farage is showing obvious signs of panic. No wonder given recent polling which shows a huge majority in favour a rigorous investigation into the various bribes Farage has been getting rather than this attempt to brush under a by-election distraction.
Are these the same polls that forecast most people would vote to stay in the EU?

Of course polls are never 100% accurate - for lots of good reasons.
But that means the true opinion about Binface and Farage might actually be that the public very much more likely (1 in 2) to prefer Binface rather the poll findings of simply more likely (the 1 in 3 cited in the poll). I know you’d prefer to think the error inherent in polls means it would actually be less than 1 in 3 people preferring Binface, but hey, errors can swing both ways.
Only time will tell Lincs but the establishment aided by the media are doing their damndest to sully Farage’s character. It remains to be seen if the public are convinced by the accusations and propaganda posted in the media and directed to vote for someone who the establishment would rather see voted in.
One things for sure…Some very powerful people don’t want Farage or Reform to take up residence in the house of commons… 
Carole Cadwalladr, an independent investigative journalist, has been trying to get the media to be interested in Farage’s dodgy funding sources for years and years. For some reason the support for Farage by many media outlets has meant that they were very happy to gloss over this dodginess. For years. Not that the dodgy funding was invisible or did not happen but that the media decided to gloss over it. They gave Farage a huge amount of publicity and a huge amount of air time - disproportionate to the success of his party.
Then Farage and Reform went one step too far. £5m direct to Farage and £10m to Reform from one non-resident donor. A donor with clear vested interests. This seems to be enough for the media to finally pay attention to all this dodgy funding and backing.
And you say this amounts to them doing their damndest to sully Farage. Nope, Farage has proven to be been perfectly capable of sullying is own character. It is just that the media has only just noticed because he has taken it all to a new level.
I for one am disappointed that he has put himself in this position … I had, at one point, seen Reform as just what this country needed.
I’m not so sure now and wouldn’t have a clue who to vote for … which all makes Binface quite appealing.

Perhaps the appeal was the extent to which Reform presented itself as against the established principle parties … and the track record of successive governments that did not really help most people?
More than likely … British politics has never been in such a mess. Not least because the ‘opposition’ party seems to have no teeth and is as clueless as the ruling party.
I never ever saw Reform as anti-establishment because by the very nature of forming a political party they are trying to become the establishment, and lead it.
But that’s just my skewed view.
I’ve never being a political animal … just a little pig.

It is true that we seem to have had 20 years of weak failings by both main parties. Many read this as there has never been such a useless crowd of politicians. (Then people add in descriptions such as self-serving and similar which may or may not be true for individual politicians.)
However why do we uniquely now have such an apparently poor set of politicians who are unable to sort the big issues? Why were previous eras of the two parties not similarly poor?
Or is it that the big issues are getting bigger and the efforts either party makes to address them amount to tinkering at the edges? They tinker in good faith, but not much changes, another external crisis appears, and we accuse them of being useless.
Or is it that the media is very adept at highlighting failings but itself fails to identify answers?
(At this point be very wary of the easy promises from an “outside” party that has never had to make such decisions in power but readily claims to have all the answers. They do not.)
It’s not that politicians are any better or worse than in the 20th century, it’s just now it’s trial by media.
