Greetings

Hello All

I wanted to say hello. I am very new to this and have not been a member of a forum before.

I am retired, although I am doing one or two days work a weeks at the moment. I am also fairly lazy!

I love to talk to people though and I am very interested in the human condition, life experiences and how we grow and develop and what we learn! (if anything)

I also love animals, films, lots of books, photography and music.
I am a life long Rolling Stones Fan and I play classical piano…

Can’t wait to meet you all and make some friends.

Lia

Hello Lia, and welcome to this lovely, lovely forum which is host to some of the nicest people you’ll ever engage with. The majority of us are totally bonkers, myself included in the nicest way, but don’t be shy in committing yourself to conversations and discussions. Enjoy your time here.

There are lots of sections on here that would interest you so, find your way around lass, and get used to navigating yourself around.

I’ve been a member of several forums for some years, but this is definitely the best I’ve been on.

Welcome Lia, I’d love to hear you play Rachmaninov’s second piano concerto, one of my favourite pieces.

Good morning Lia darlin’ and welcome.

Hello and welcome …

Hello Lia  a very warm welcome to the forum … I hope you enjoy your time here with us…

Hello Lia  welcome, I look forward to chatting with you.

Hello Lia, welcome to the forum
I enjoy listening to classical piano - shame we haven’t got sound on forums

Thank you Mollie

That was a lovely welcome and very reassuring! I am really looking forward to it as I do not have the social life here I had in London!

By the way - I never said I was that good on the piano! Probably good we don’t have sound!

Lia

Well sadly I don’t attempt RachII !

I tell people that my hands are not big enough…and I am sticking with that story!

Lia

What a wonderful welcome - thank you all.

This looks like it will be fun!

I hope to get to know all of you soon.

Lia

The closest I could get Lia darlin’

Welcome Lisa. If you are interested in humankind you’ll find plenty of variety on here … and it’s all good.

Hi Lia and welcome from me too.

Please tell - where are you in North Wales ? Gorgeous area - been to Llandudno this weekend - what gorgeous weather we had

Only one problem - can’t use my bus pass in Wales (or Scotland) :frowning:

Hi Myrtle and thank you for the welcome.

I am right in the middle of Snowdonia, high on the side of a mountain. (the weather is not always nice here!)

I love it though. It is wild and unspoilt and has miles of wonderful oak forests.

It has been a bit of a shock for a city girl, compared to London!

Last week I was walking the dog when a man suddenly leapt out of the bushes holding a long twig. He made me squeal and was quick to apologise and explain he was trying to beat the squirrels.

Believe you me, there are more eccentrics per sq mile here than anywhere…(I include myself there too)

I must have looked shocked - no much shocks me…but beating squirrels??? Anyway he saw my face and said - “to the nuts…I was trying to collect hazelnuts before the squirrels get them”.

Lia

Thank you for your welcome Twizard!

Lovely to meet a fellow fan of the greatest Rock and roll band in the world!

Sadly I have not seen them live for a few years - (I could not cope with a trip to Glastonbury - I don’t camp and there is no local 5* hotel…I thought about going to Hyde Park - but as my friend pointed out…no seats!!!

I wish Mick and Keef catered more to their similar aged fans!! Still I have the music!
