Managed to get out on a six mile run this morning, no rain but standing water everywhere and crossing the bridge over the River Don I was surprised to see how high the water was.
Recovered quickly after an hour or two on Over 50’s and some of my famous porridge. So it’s been a productive day but I’m struggling now so Off to bed,

I’ve had some very good results with ‘Strapping’ Spitty, or at least that’s what my Dad used to say, I can still see the buckle marks on my bum.
Anyway, keep going Spitty however slow it might seem. I shall return to the roads on Sunday morning but right now I’ve had enough for today and shall take the ‘stairway to heaven’ - that’l be interesting, cos I live in a bungalow…
Another decent Sunday, but nothing much happened here today. Except that is, a really fast eight mile run this morning. Wish I’d worn my gloves though, the fog came down and it took me three miles to get warm.
Bob’s reviving porridge did the trick though - It’s been known to cure Gout, Bunions and slow bowels…
Kept moving today Spitty, although a rest day from running, did a seven mile walk this morning under a clear blue sky. Then into the workshop to do some work on my latest project.
Time to recharge the batteries now and grab some Zzzzzzzzzz’s
Goodnight Over 50’s Forum…can’t wait to check in tomorrow, lets make some history!
Another day that was the present, now becomes the past…
Sleep well. Tomorrow is a blank canvas…Well, apart from Tesco in the morning, Bargain Hunt at lunchtime and Pointless and Eggheads at dinner time…But the rest of the day is blank.
As yet Thursday is an unknown quantity Spitty, however, In my world it will begin with a six mile run and then it’s a day out in Bridlington. I start to get maudling if I don’t see the sea every now and then.
When I was courting my wife all those years ago she used to whisper in my ear “You always remind me of the sea” I replied “do you mean because I’m rough and roving?”
“No” she said, “It’s because you make me sick!”
