Morning Swimmy, Barry, and everyone else who gets up at a reasonable time!
Swimmy, I do hope you get home very soon…you’ll sleep for a week once you are back in your own bed, I bet!
Its raining a bit just now, and quite humid. The windows are open to let some air in. I have a delivery coming later, but I also need to pop into town with a jumper I bought yesterday. The woman who served me was so busy chatting, that she forgot to remove the security tag. If I try and remove it myself, apparently ink sprays all over the garment. I have a reciept. but its the hassle of it all
Anyway, thats my day planned. Hope everyone’s day runs smoothly
Understandable, Swimmy, but don’t rush it. They might not let you go until you have had full, proper meals for a day or two with no adverse reaction. At least you seem to be out of isolation now and back on a ward so that is a good sign. Good luck.
Dull - but very warm and sticky here. The air is almost solid - not nice. Storms were forecast but, so far, nothing showing on the lightning map
I must catch a 'bus to the other side of town to deliver the Diamond Wedding card I made - then back home to finish the necklace I am making. I totally wrecked it last night! Was within a couple of inches of finishing it - then used the wrong pliers ! AArrgh.
Yes Swims, I would imagine with all the noise and disturbance it would affect you. I hated not being able to sleep in hospitals. Yet once I was told off for talking in the night as I walked to the loo! Never mind how the nursing staff are!!! Hope you can get home soon.
As for weather, my app tells me we are due for thundery showers tomorrow, so best I make appropriate plans for today then. Mind, I’d left Holly for three hours yesterday, while off chatting to the coffee group ladies, so not sure whether to stay home with her for today. Not in urgent need of shopping.
Had to laugh yesturday, I was sitting on the bench at the Sea Wall, when a Lady I know has a huge Pit Bull Terrier, who is all muscle and weighs in at 6 st. he saw me and decided to jump up on the bench and sit on my lap, he was so heavy, my knees nearly gave way, I did say to him, that he was a bit big for sitting on someone’s lap, but all he did was lick my face.
Morning everyone,
Raining today - my app says thundery showers this morning, and again late afternoon. We rarely get the thunderstorms, though, the forecast always changes, so we shall see.
@swimfeeders I can so understand you wanting to get home, but you do need to listen to the doctors and do as they say. Not fair though, you certainly spend more than your fair share of time in hospital. BTW I edited your thread title to read 24/8/2022, not 24/7/2022
@susiejaeger - that made me laugh, picturing you under the huge weight of a a 6 stone dog! But, a pitbull? How’s it managed to survive the ban? Though it doesn’t sound in the least aggressive, haha.
Oh I could tell he was a big old softie, but I’m just surprised that she has a pitbull, because it’s been illegal since 1991 to own a pitbull in the UK.
Yes, I thought that was the case, which rather makes the law a bit of an ass, doesn’t it? I mean, how do the authorities determine whether a dog is a pitbull or not? And if it is a ‘type’, then how come the American pitbull doesn’t come into that category?
Goodness only knows.
It’s seems extraordinary to me too .
Cross a staffy with a mastiff and you get a pit bull type ( except big )
Most of the accidents where people are killed by pit bulls are in fact American bulldogs
It’s been bloody freezing today, 7° over night where I live., It’s an Antarctic blast
Snow on the tablelands up to the Queensland border, The Great Western Highway and Bells Line of Road were both closed because of the snow and ice on the roads
