Good Morning Wednesday 24/08/2022 I am getting very tired

Belated good morning

Hope you hear good news about your discharge Swimmy.

Good morning everyone :slightly_smiling_face: a drizzly hot day quite unpleasant.

I am catching up on some cleaning today while I feel ok, on good days I have to do as much as I can .
Lunch is all prepared ready to finish off , creamed mushrooms on garlic toast with a large green salad, so I can get on with cleaning.

Hi

Thanks I will do when the morning rush is over. Being weighed, bloods taken and the rehab nurse is hovering

My son must be freezing then he lives on a mountain in Queensland .
It’s hot here jus5 been for a walk and am exhausted.

Morning all!

Still hot here. :frowning: Not cooling down at night. I hoped that Sunday was going to break the heat because it cooled down a lot, but the heat has rebounded.

Had a bad sleep, partly because of the heat.

Looking forward to a masterclass today. Looking for something to distract me from the heat.

Have a stupendous day everyone.

Yuk! Much as I love dogs I couldn’t bear that! :smiley_cat:

Sounds delicious!

Morning - just! Been on the stroll and posted a letter. The neighbour at our previous house is 70 today so we sent a card. Now we are going to see the vet for some blood work. The girls will go with us. It’s about a 30 minute walk each way.

Been on a mercy call to my sister. She was at the GP surgery, started reversing out, hit something and now has a flat tyre. She couldn’t find her breakdown number (didn’t think of Googling her insurance company, which is what I did), I went to collect her, took her home, where she couldn’t find her insurance letter. (But the guy was there seeing to her gates, which he’d messed up.)

Anyway, she managed to get the claim in, they said a time, so I went off to Aldi for my shopping, drove back and she shouted out, don’t get out of the car, they are there already. But what did we find when we got back to her car? She doesn’t have a spare! I said as we drove back there, do you actually have one? I don’t know, she replied. (Slaps hand on forehead!) I said I don’t have a spare, and I know that. So, we had to phone around several places, correction, I did, got the recovery guy to speak to them, but he didn’t have a tow truck. He has had to order that. She might be lucky to have them get there by 1.30. Then they have to get to the tyre place but the thing is, she is due in to work at 2. Half hour drive away. She was going to phone them.

She was panicking, as she usually does, but I calmed her down, said it will get done, don’t worry.

Home to have some lunch and will take the dog out now.

@Jazzi - what an eventful morning!

It was, especially for her. And she still had to get off to work. I don’t know if her shift will be extended to make up the hours (she was on 2-6), or if she will make the hours up another day. She works for Sainsburys. I know by the time she was finished getting the tyre she would have been well late.

I worked myself up into a sweat this afternoon, looking for cine films and other media. Susie Jaeger put me in touch with someone who actually lives 2 minutes walk from me who does conversions. I found a lot of media types, and the box of photos I was after. After my shower I started looking through them all. I do know sis wants some of our parents so she can come round one day and have a look. I ought to have a major cull one day, get rid of holiday and day trip scenes that no longer mean anything, and especially not to my family when I am gone.

Going round to the chap tomorrow morning, we now have a day and time.

Cup of tea now, methinks.
