We had a really bad thunder storm last night that blew out all my solar lights in the garden, which now means i’ve got to go out and buy new one’s.

I’d best check mine tonight when it gets dark. Eeek. I was thinking about getting more. A house along the road up the top has strung them all along their fence, just the little ones. Looks quite nice.

The Britain Bike Ride is going through my Village today ,last time it went through it was very exciting to be part of it Cheering them on …

@susiejaeger The Thunderstorm we had the other night was bad , but I know at the Coast they seem 10 times worse ,A shame its ruined your Solar lights , but look on the bright side it wasn’t your house .

Two rows of string solars along our fence are ruined also our Lighthouse.
Yes Eliza at least it wasn’t the House and Coco only looked up once at the window then ignored it all and went back to sleep.

Wet wet wet here yes raining at last. I am off the the opticians later on to check my distance sight as in November I have to do the DVLA eye sight test with spec savers. So best have a glasses lens correction done now so I pass to be on the safe side.

Morning all. Cold and damp. My plan to finish off the prep work in a room ready for painting has been thrown into disarray since it would be inconvenient for me to start at the ridiculously antisocial time of 11am.
So, nothing else on the cards.

I am still busy getting ready for the puppies arrival on Sunday .
I have just been down the road to get some cyclamen for the tub outside the sitting room window.
Off to plant them before the rain arrives.

Back from opticians and yes new glasses ordered although still good enough for the DVLA test but there is a slight alteration to distance sight. Seems a cataract in one eye has got a bit worse so next years visit may mean being referred to hospital for removal. Also book a covid test for later on trhe Autumn booster they call it. On top of all this just throw in a dental appointment for good measure around the same time.
Exciting times @Meg , loads of photos please when she has settled in and got her feet under the table…

Went for a game of Golf, yesterday, but the heavens opened up.
Worst heavy rain I’ve ever seen, and I’ve seen a lot.
Hooter went, everyone came into the bar, the takings went way up,
Don’t know if they all went back out, but I went home.
Good for the Water situation, though!
