Going to be dull but mild here today - not that it matters - because it going to be a wonderful day!
In about 2 x hours time I will be 78yrs old - not bad going for one who was told, by three different ‘fortune tellers’ , that she would not make it to 45!
Have been invited to a neighbour’s home for breakfast ( about 9:00am - she is not an early riser), am going out with two ‘crafty’ friends for a light ( very light ) lunch, and this evening, five of us are having dinner in a very smart Italian restaurant. And … it is not going to be frosty so I can wear my black stockings and killer heels - Yipee!!
Good Morning From Foxy’s World…
And a very special good morning to you Silver Tabby, I bet you are still turning peoples heads in those black stockings and killer heels…
You certainly turn mine…Happy Birthday Tabby…
Happy birthday ST! Crikey, in my mind I had you down as someone probably 20 or more years younger!! Wow. Have a great time today.
Just some light vacuuming for me today, putting away yesterday’s washing. And keeping Holly company. If I do a lot of sister visiting, or shopping, I like to have days in between when she has my sole attention.
I fell asleep during The Apprentice and woke up after 10. I didn’t want to go out for the last walk (too cold and tired) so put her in the garden. Then around 2am she went out again. I have stopped minding, now we have the garden and I no longer have to take her out in the road, as was the case when I lived in the flat.
It’s a dull but dry morning here; and I have a few errands to do -
Bus into town to return a library book and go to the main post office - we have a local sub PO but they seem to make up their opening times as they go along.
Bus back home, then drive to Boundary Mill to buy a couple of pillows as I never managed it yesterday
From there drive to Sainsbury’s, which will probably be busy on a Friday afternoon, but I need to do some shopping, and it will give me (hopefully) a clear weekend to do hobbies
Morning all, a bit brighter this morning, got the washing on!
Happy Birthday ST, sounds like you’re going to have a ‘fab-u-lous day dahling’, as Mr Revel Horwood would say
Had a phone call early this morning from the garage to say they’ve had a cancellation and can do my car’s MOT today. Here’s hoping it all goes swimmingly
It has been warm, humid and sunny today 29’ (what else is new) but the south of the continent has had a lot of rain. (I wouldn’t mind a bit)
In SA both railways and roads have been washed out to the NT and WA with small towns running short of supplies. While in Victoria there is flash flooding.
Victoria seems quite tame in comparison
I went for my walk and had a couple of showers because of the humidity making me sweat but apart from that not much happening here.
Another Happy Birthday from me too Tabby…have a lovely day!
I’m having a cleaning day today as I have two little visitors coming to stay with me tomorrow Isabella my step granddaughter and Stanley my little grandson…I’m really looking forward to it as they haven’t stayed over for ages.
My thoughts are with Lionqueen today…I’m hoping we have better news later
Good morning all. Another week flown by, and a step nearer to Spring time.
Nothing very exciting to do today, but have a list of phone calls to sort various things out.
The washing machine is almost finished - now the sun’s gone in!
I want to make either some Chilli, or some Bolognaise for the freezer today, haven’t decided which yet.
Have fun.
