Afternoon everyone…finally finished my work for a few months, and now can fully concentrate on making some headway into moving house. Not a pleasant prospect really, I quite like this place, but downsizing is necessary.
ST - Happy Birthday!!, but you shocked me to bits with the age reveal! I always think everyone here is so much younger. See!..forums are great for keeping us young!

A belated good morning… 
Yippee after 2 weeks of having to carry hot water down the stairs in a bucket with a bad back and a bad hand my neighbours son is going to fit a new mixer tap in the kitchen.
The washer in the hot tap has disintegrated blocking the flow of water and I have spent days emailing plumbers to come and do a repair but they were all busy, one was booked till September . I have the washers to do the repair but can’t manage the screws with my hand and finally decided a new tap was called for. It seems plumbers are in short supply.
Roll on spring, I managed to kneel down and do some jobs in the garden today it was good to get outside.

Good news Meg!
I left a vm with my plumber last year for a tap replacement. He never did get back to me. I expect the little jobs are just not his thing. Though he is booked for next week for the boiler service. Got someone recommended by Susie, in the end, who did the job.
