It must be my turn to start this daily thread on this palindromic day 12/11/21 (sorry USA but you are wrong ) but anyway…
Well, it is another wet and cold day, so really fed up. It has rained on 8 of the days this month for a total of 86mm so far. November only averages about 115mm according to Wollongong Uni. A report on the radio said October was the coldest month on record and so far November is heading the same way (gawd, let’s hope not!). On Saturday over a metre of snow is forecast in the Snowys down to1000m, the rain is supposed to ease this arvo but then it gets windy tomorrow. Huuumph!
33mm of rain overnight, retrieving my bins from the kerb was a very squelchy affair, I even had to empty the water out of two of them. Don’t think I will be going anywhere today.
Looking forward to tomorrow morning when my middle son is coming down on the train from Sydney after joining his ship this week (HMAS Arunta). He finishes night shift that morning so will sleep on the train.
Same here, heavy rain all day.Tomorrow we’ve got hail and thunder to look forward to.Spring in Oz more like Winter in Wales.I didn’t come here for this,I want my money back!
Good morning everyone! Friday and its pouring with rain - suppose it could be snowing though, so its not that bad. No plans today, just pottering around. Have a lovely day everybody!
I’m in sluggish mode today as I struggled to force myself to leave my snuggly warm bed, but my daily injection and tablets were calling, so I had no choice but to obey lol.
Morning everyone from a rather damp North Yorkshire seeing my daughter today for coffee and then shopping…she is still not up to walking around shops which is a shame but I’ll cope
I am very tired from my trip to Saltburn on Sea yesterday to visit my half sister who lives there. Coach trips do my head in. We were 45 minutes picking people up before we even started the journey! I didn’t have the confidence to drive all that way myself so hey ho!!
Next year Caroline is coming to Derbyshire. She loves camping & there are lots of brilliant sites near us.
I plan an easy day today - maybe a walk round the local pond with Tony & a bit of housework.
Morning all, dull and grey here, but not raining… yet. Been busy all week helping daughter while recovering from surgery. She’s a lot better now, so I’ll mostly stay home today and get on with stuff before going to collect my granddaughter from school this afternoon.
Good morning from ‘out in the rural sticks’ to you all.
It was tipping it down in the early hours. By the look of the blue sky and the sun trying to come out it may change to a nice day. Maximum temperature 15ºC.
No idea of what I will be doing today, probably very little unless I have a sudden burst of energy and the will to do something or other!
Enjoy your day everybody, whatever you may be doing.
@Jazzi
Hi Jazzi I am afraid the older the dogs get the more it shoots up, Chloe’s insurance eventually went to £50 a month so I cancelled it and although I have had an expensive year with vets bills I am still a lot better off than I would have been .
@Jazzi Can I just pipe up here and echo @Meg . My dog is 11, and I’m £144 a month with John Lewis. That covers quite a lot though, and I have made great use of it with the issues she has going on regarding gastric trouble and dental work. I couldn’t have afforded that out my own pocket. Having said that, its really expensive compared to some. But as Meg says, unfortunately prices go up the older your dog gets.
It is 10 pm now I received a phone call earlier from my Daughter in Law saying she and the grandkids are coming up from Canberra and will arrive about midnight so I have been getting beds ready for the kids
A couple of reasons - mainly to see her hubby tomorrow when he visits but also to take their new puppy to a Wollongong vet to get a parvo shot, apparently there is a waiting list at the vet in Canberra.
I rang the club to increase our restaurant booking from two to five. The weekend is looking busy!
