Good Morning/Afternoon - Sunday 28th August, 2022

Good Morning/Afternoon everyone.

Just back from my early walk - it is warm out there already.

@Swimmy - have you found the escape hatch yet?

Waiting for Mr Amazon to deliver my new wireless keyboard - and the strange jigsaw puzzle mentioned elsewhere - three guesses as to what I will be doing today.

Have a safe - and fun - day

Hi

No escape hatch as yet.

In fact l went backwards over night.

I can see the status display from my bed, I had 4 markers on it when the night shift started, I now have six, which is not good news.

Never mind, I will get out of here sometime.

Have a good day all and enjoy it

Morning peeps, warming up here now and just about to head off to the forest with the hound.

We are expecting Mr Amazon too, a new printer for me to set up and a new set of drills for the workshop, exciting times!

Have a good day everyone

Barry you are always so cheerful !
The dogs woke me up at 5.00 this morning there was something in the garden a fox I think .
It could have been a grizzly bear I was half asleep as I let them out .

Good morning all, brilliant sunshine here.

Not going out today.

Have a nice day all.

Good morning to you!

Up early and relaxed with some reading. Slow start with the family still asleep.

Leaving to visit relatives later this morning and then a relaxing evening before prep work starts Monday.

Enjoy your day!

Good morning everybody!

No plans yet apart from continuing to spider-proof the place. I saw another one this morning so efforts are being ramped up!

Have a great day

Note to @PixieKnuckles and all arachnophobes, spiders are a most useful addition to the home as they eat flies, not people… :+1:

Morning all.

I shall spider proof my home too! They are not welcome here. Speaking to one of our coffee group ladies last night when walking Holly (we both have dogs), her neighbour reckons they had a false widow spider in their bedroom. Eek.

Hoping to do a tip run any day soon. Have two big electrical items in the boot, and must clear that space before my caravan holiday in two weeks time. I was hoping to find more rubbish to take, but am not in that mood.

My home is not a Spider baby-making facility :018: Flies are welcome (that’s a lie, but still…) Spiders making whoopee on my soft furnishings, is not something I want to encourage

Likewise, mine isn’t a spider hostel. Cross my threshold and you find yourselves back out over it!

Morning everyone, dry here and it’s trying to be bright but not completely succeeding. Bedding’s in the washer.

Fifty-one years ago today Mr B and I made our vows to each other, and so far (God knows how :joy:) we have managed to keep them. No real plans for the day, apart from no doubt seeing the family at some point.

Enjoy your day whatever your plans.

Good morning everyone :slightly_smiling_face: a lovely day and not too hot.
I have done lots of washing and hope it is dry soon so I can get it ironed and then get on with the lengthily job of putting a new zip in my dog coat.

I am shower less at the moment and having to make do with a few inches of water in the bath and a jug to wash my hair. The pressure valve has gone on my shower and I toyed with replacing it but my shower is 12 years old and I don’t fancy paying a plumber to fix it then the element goes and I have to pay again so I am having a new one fitted but not till Sept the 6th. We used to manage fine before electric showers so I guess I will get used to faffing around with a jug,

@Bathsheba Happy anniversary Bathsheba :slightly_smiling_face: wishing you many more…

Thanks @Meg. If our electric shower broke, I wouldn’t be able to bath, as I just can’t get myself out of it again once I’m in it! But luckily, we do have an over-bath shower fitting on the taps, although no fitting on the wall to hook it on, so it’d be a hand held shower. Better than nothing though. You will really appreciate your new shower once it’s all up and running!

Morning all!

So far feeling cooler today. I hope the weather will cool a bit.

Was able to get some sleep without my neighbor blasting music. Nice.

Hoping for more of the same peace and quiet today.

Have a peaceful day everyone.

Just got back behind the wheel after a little tizzy, with a paving slab, yesterday.

I went out, in the morning, and as I started along the main road, a broken paving slab jumped in front of my car and I banged over it, writing off both the tyres on the offside of my car!

Luckily, a local agent drove over, took my two wheels off, went back to the shop & replaced the tyres, then came back and put the wheels back on.

Excellent service!

The Insurance company, not so good! I think they’d have put the annual cost of Insuring up more than the price of the fix (at my age!)

I wonder how many people passed by this paving stone as they went about their day?

Anyway, all’s well that ends in a well, as they say!
