You would have been more than welcome. There were lots of weird things going on.

I’m thinking of doing some investigations myself, there’s lots of haunting around Suffolk. I live 2 miles from Borley which I’ve read a lot on.

The Unexplained mysteries from Paranormal to Aliens fascinates me, I have experienced a few odd things in my time

Pushing open a door, it stopped against the body of a good friend who unknowingly to me had just committed suicide……still today a very sad memory, even with fading recollections of that day, there are things I can’t forget, or explain.

Soon as the door come against his body……a strange and strong sensation like some kind of electric shock, went right through my body, and I knew he was dead.

The police and ambulance arrived, asking if I was okay…. Policeman sitting with me making conversation, checking I was okay, telling me it was bad thing to experience the worst he had attended……only a week or so later I was made aware of the blood that was everywhere, I saw no blood… and none was on me, apparently not seeing any blood was regarded as impossible not walking through any would needed effort.

It was that sensation, and knowing he was dead, and seeing nothing as I walk through the house all seemed connected in some way

The trouble with ghosts is that they don’t seem to have a consistent way of manifesting their presence. People sometimes see them, where they may be mobile or stationary, but don’t have a physical effect on the immediate environment. Sometimes ghosts will cause objects to move, but always by some invisible force. And then ghosts sometimes make themselves know by a sound. A children’s nursery rhyme is quite a popular choice -at least in films- or whispering, and sometimes crying. I seem to think that moving objects and sound effects have been known to occur simultaneously, but I don’t think I ever heard of a visible ghost that either moved anything or made a noise. Do they not have the energy to do it all at once? I ask myself, but having difficulty in treating it as a serious question.

No i don’t think they do…after all, they are energy, without physical form - so no strength. It probably takes quite a lot of focus to do what they do.

Well then the obvious question is, why do they bother to make the effort? While they are reported to express themselves in various ways, none of those ways ever leaves one with the impression that they are enjoying themselves. In life we are required to do things we don’t want to do all the time, it is depressing to think that that continues when we are dead.

It also seems odd that when a ghost is of the visible sort, it is identical in appearance to the physical body from which it eminated. If the immaterial part of ourself is capable of existing without the body, I wonder why we ever have a body in the first place. Nature usually takes the most efficient course, and having to grow a body over many years when it isn’t even necessary seems like a waste of resources.

That’s insightful and a good question…

Would you like to have a shot at the answer? :slightly_smiling_face:

They are trapped between the planes of existence between this world and the next. They are full of angst. This is why they are mournful and have hissy fits.

I think it’s just depicted as such in movies. I’ve not encountered a real life ghost story from an average Joe…

Perhaps, they’re in between realms and in between soul, spirit and body hence the form of the body persists.

Or, perhaps it makes it easier for us in the physical realm to comprehend what it is we’re seeing.

We have to have the body so we can use it to full effectiveness while in this world. While we are growing the body, we are also growing the soul, so that when it is released…it becomes one with the Universe as it moves to the next plane of…existence.

I was hoping for a bit more detail than that, and possibly even the slightest grain of science, whether it be physics, biology or any other branch of science that I probably wouldn’t understand anyway.

Well then, apparently the soul weighs 21 grams! if you can weigh it, it exists hence ghosts seem to be real…
