You didn’t answer the question…does your oven clean the racks…I guess its a no?
I only asked.…I never knew cleaning an oven kills and ages you?..or even cleaning…well,it ain’t working on me because, most people can’t believe I’m a pensioner and that I have a free bus pass,
Blinking bus driver keeps asking to look at my bus pass.
Did you google that?
Hang on a minute l will go and ask it!! Do you know what… I don’t care if it does or it doesn’t. I live my life to the full and l will not be a slave to a house that will still be there for hundreds of years, after l am dead!
That made me LOL, Art…so funny……sorry, not the Bakewell tarts, the posts of yours above…I even told the police officer I’d been cleaning for my son,…he said I wish my mum would do that for me…I may have cleaning on the brain,Art,
Pauline, l think sometimes l have to realise that we are all different and people are the way they are.
To me life is for living and not slogging your guts out on a house. Plus, two of my house-proud friends have had heart attacks as they never stopped, one died and the other gave up doing so much housework, on doctor’s orders.
No worries Art…I wouldn’t say I’m OCD…I know what you mean though…I’m not a slave to house work, I just like a pristine house, I used to be OCD and yes it can really stress you out…but, then all obsessive compulsive disorders can stress you out…
Since we changed our car to a Qashqai, I’ve been unable to reach the middle of the roof so I don’t wash it any more. Now I take it to the Polish hand car wash guys that are based at our local Tesco store about once every 3 months. This last Saturday we decided to have the car fully valeted and it cost £35 but well worth it. Today, though, while out driving, she’s got all muddy again 'cos it’s been raining.
Tomorrow I have an electrician coming to install some new security lights. I could do it myself but have decided to get a professional in.
Ref the Oven Pride this is what the wife uses.
Car cleaning I don’t mind, there doesn’t seem to be any car valets around these parts anymore so do DIY is the order of the day.
Me too, at least once a year, unless it rains then I just park it outside. My only complaint is the black plastic liner for the Ute tray I wish they came in reddish brown then the dust wouldn’t show.
Never cleaned an oven in my life, no point, if it got bad enough to notice I just bought a new stove, they’re cheap enough. Mind you I haven’t used the oven for years now I keep unused cookbooks in it.
I put all the oven racks and shelves in the dishwasher and set it on the most robust setting, then give any remaining stubborn burnt on bits a rub with a non-scratch scrub sponge whilst still warm at the end of the dishwasher cycle.
It works a treat - they come up clean and grease-free without messing about with the chemicals.
I have used Oven Pride before, though - to clean the oven and shelves when I first moved in to this house - I agree it is really good stuff and saves a lot of scrubbing if there’s a big build-up of grease and gunge.
