GB News channel

Wow that is some interpretation of my post.
But you are quite right I do not feel we need to have two presenters as I cannot see how they compliment each other.

As for experts I assume you noted my words ‘so called experts’ as it seems everyone is an expert on GB News they once introduce a wood expert, he was a joiner.

And as for calling a program Alister and friends are you telling me that everyone that appears on his program is a friend, yeah right?

But hey each to their own, if the channel floats your boat then great enjoy.

Will do. Being politically unbiased is far more important than the presenters and the colours on the screen!

I did actually watch a bit today. There was a massive argument where the guests were talking over each other (should rather call it shouting). The presenter could not control them and I would not be surprised if it ended in a punch up. This was because one of the guests was saying that both sides in the war have press publishing propaganda, the other guest, a comedian was arguing very strongly that our press bias cannot be compared in the slightest with Kremlin-produced Russian propaganda. The presenter, rather than being neutral was totally on the side of first guest.

All in all not impressive and clearly biased presenting.

GB News doesn’t pretend it’s unbiased and doesn’t charge a fee whether you watch it or not. It’s totally different from the BBC which is supposed to be unbiased.

GB news dares to deal with topics that the MSM have been prohibited from reporting on, and GB News give air time to both sides of the discussion. Isn’t that what free speech is all about?
I have always found that they are fair, and invite all sides to the table for a more balanced view.
I agree that there are some presenters that annoy me, but isn’t that the same with any news or current affairs programmes.
Although it pains me to say it, but I believe the BBC are the most well polished and professional broadcaster anywhere in the world. GB News are only just finding their feet in the cut throat world of broadcasting so we must make allowances for the odd sound malfunction or studio cock up. They have adopted a brilliant format and should be supported if you really want to know what is happening in the UK instead of being force fed on the garbage and propaganda that most other stations kick out.

Prior to GB News and Talk TV there was only the left wing broadcasters.

Not anymore - that’s why the left are getting so upset, we now have common sense broadcasting and the truth instead of nutters like Kay Burley, Laura Kunsberg etc, the band of hypocrites like Linekar and socialist nudge units like the BBC lying to us about climate change and net zero.

They have Alistair Stewart, Colin Brazier, Anne Diamond, Neil Oliver, Eamonn Holmes, Michael Portillo, Andrew Pierce, Arlene Foster, Michelle Dewberry, David Starkey who are all fine presenters and I reckon they beat BBC any day.

I watch it on Youtube, there are a lot of good discussions there.

TV veteran John McAndrew has bagged a top new gig at the BBC as the broadcaster’s new Director of News Programmes, starting in the new year. McAndrew joins after a stint as the launch editor for Andrew Neil’s Channel 4 show, and before that, GB News’s first Editorial Director and Director of Programming. He quit GB News in July 2021, following reported clashes with the top brass over the ideological direction of the channel…

Announcing the move today, BBC News CEO Deborah Turness said:

“John is a hugely creative talent, with excellent editorial judgement. He’s a leading programme innovator who has a deep understanding of how to connect with audiences, and will ensure they get the value they deserve from BBC News. It’s wonderful to welcome him back to the BBC.”

McAndrew worked at the BBC early in his career, so it’s something of a homecoming. Still, it’ll probably ruffle some lefty feathers…

They all push tosh, regardless. :icon_wink:

For big Bucks

I love GBNews. It’s the ONLY channel, on Freeview, that I watch, now. I don’t even know what is happening on any…ANY…other channels, so I can’t comment on how those are, these days. Mark Steyn is excellent, on GBNews!

Finally, a station that tells it like it is!

Indeed! How did I forget Mark Steyn? he has really got his teeth into the story about people damaged or even killed by the Covid jab. He has had people on there who have lost family members due to the jab and who the Govt are now having to compensate, while all the other news channels and MSM have kept this hushed up.

Mark Dolan is pretty good too, as is Dan Wootton. He regularly has the fascinating Lady Colin Campbell on his show and she just doesn’t care what she says. The stuff she reveals about Harry and Meghan!!! :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

Actually another presenter I really like is Calvin Robinson. He is so measured and politely spoken and although he is mixed race he will have no truck with those who say GB is a racist country. He is also always commenting about the migrant crisis and saying it has to be sorted out and if people want to come here they must do it through the proper channels.

To me, the concept of having blatantly biased news channels here is appalling and I wouldn’t be caught dead tuning into GBNews, vile

I’m glad they often get challenged by Ofcom because such biased broadcasting isn’t allowed here

Populist right-wing tosh, stupid anti woke stance to attract the ignorant and some repulsive ignorant presenters like Farage, Laurence Fox and Daubney who I wouldn’t pee on if they were on fire

On another forum I visit there’s a great thread called “GB News-thread so you don’t have to watch it” so I get to see some of the most crass, stupid and funny bits

I particularly liked when Martin Daubney had to announce that GBNews own poll showed 55% would now vote against Brexit

Oh, and go Mick Lynch for the humerous contempt he showed them!

Ned Hartley of the Beano!

Talk TV is great during the day, check out Mike Graham from 10am. The home of common sense.

You can listen too via Talk Radio - both available live on Youtube, their web sites and Sky.

Its wonderful how the left are getting so wound up by GB News, its the same with Twitter. Since the left can no longer dominate the media they hate it.

Ofcourse, you don’t have to watch it…

Well, obviously I don’t watch it! :rofl::rofl::joy:

I’d be truly ashamed of myself if I did

But blatantly biased right-wing channels shouldn’t be allowed to broadcast in this country

Not only is it against Offcom rules, it’s against every principal and moral standard our country used to have :frowning:

It’s not against Ofcom rules at all, the only channel that must remain independent is the BBC, you can broadcast whatever you want, even if your a Brexit bashing anti-democratic left wing echo chamber full of hypocritical presenters who wear anti-racist, anti-homophobic, LGBTQ+ badges and arm bands then go on the Qatar payroll because they don’t have. problem taking money from the very people the have been chastising over the past 4 years.

Offcom rules on impartiality

That’s why they were found in breach here:

And why we will continue to make formal complaints to Offcom every time they do it

On forums, you do get some people who’s constant flood of links right wing news stories and opinions is very much like their very own version of GBNews!
