Feeling The Cold

Pauline, I don’t understand? Why are you catching buses in the freezing cold weather, when your son bought you a car recently?

Because the bus is free and second, I love meeting people and talking to them.

3rd…I’m not confident enough ,Art…it’s a complicated journey…my son is going to set up my sat nav…then I may take that, “ leap of faith”…

It’s seems to have got worse, I can’t remember being this cold last winter…I think it’s also to do with travelling on 2 buses that are freezing, all windows open, for 3 hours…then hanging around waiting for the second bus…I’ve only started travelling on the bus last summer…to my sons…

Never had this problem all the years I was on Warfarin.

But, since being moved to apixaban, it’s become very normal to feel colder and colder depending on when I last had a meal!

She’s got more meat on her than I have.

I’ve warmed up as I’ve had a boiling hot bath…bliss.

I’m a cold person too , always have been . My feet always cold and in bed my feet can take ages to get warm so I wear bed socks now . I’ve got a really thick coat/cardy which I practically live in now . Always wear slippers too . My sister who I’m staying with keeps turning the heating up and down cause shes warm and I’m sitting wrapped up for freezing conditions.

I’ve always told people, people who really care what others think of them, especially people they don’t know. Think about your last trip to the store, do you really remember any of the people there? If you saw this girl dancing at a bus stop, how much thought would you actually give it. Me, I could care less what others think of me, that is, as they say their problem.

I’ll send it to you once I’ve finished it! :+1:

As far as the cold goes. It makes my arthritis act up. If I can keep my feet, hands and head warm I am usually OK.

Ouch, Pauline, that sounds a bit unkind…She loves life and doesn’t care what anyone thinks. If this attitude could be bottled and sold, it would make millions. :+1:

I don’t see it as unkind…she’s much bigger than me and has more fat/ meat on her…I have no fat…only a bit on my tummy…

Many people have fat to keep them warm, that’s a fact.

We are still sleeping under summer weight duvets (5Tog) since we had our bungalow insulated on the outside and new double glazing installed. In fact, the inside temperature difference between this time last year and today seems to be vastly different. Last winter we had the heating coming on at about 7:30am and going off for a few hours over late morning/early afternoon, finally switching off at 11pm. Now the heating is programmed to switch on at 3:15pm to go off at 10:30pm. I have yet to start sleeping in my pjs (still wearing only boxers in bed).
