Feeling The Cold

Does anyone else here feel the cold?

I have just travelled by buses x2 from Newbury…I am absolutely frozen, I’m in my bed with my jacket and scarf,I’m that cold…

I’m going to talk to my doctor about this, as I can’t seem to get warm, I’m on blood thinners, so maybe that has something to do with it.

The thinners certainly won’t help. Thyroid issue can make internal temp. systems iffy too…but could be a raft things, without meaning to sound alarmist of course lol…my bet is on the blood thinners

No don’t seem to feel the cold too badly. Guess if you are going out in the cold then wear layers of clothing to capture the warmth.
Maybe take a flask of hot drink with you as well.

I think you may be right,Lucy…my mum was on blood thinners as she had the same op as me, she was always saying how cold she was.

I feel the cold due to my meds too, so maybe that has something to do with it, Pauline? Just layer up, drink hot drinks, and keep moving around.

Does your hot water bottle have a fluffy cover on it? Also, where is your Jack? Dogs give great hugs too :+1:

I’ve just mentioned this on the good morning thread. I’m always cold and it’s awful, I just can’t tolerate the cold at all and I dread winter for this reason.

If there are any arguments in this house its always over the fire, im frozen and he’s sweating cobs. I usually win though lol

No fluffy cover, Jack ,isn’t allowed upstairs on my bed anymore…my Rosie used to keep me warm as she used to snuggle into my back.

Yes, l feel the cold in winter but in the Summer when it’s really, really hot, l am nice and cool, especially in bed at night.

I do have an electric blanket but l haven’t put it on my bed this year. Instead, l have a small heat pad that l hardly use.
I put it in the bed for a short time where my feet go, to take off the chill. I then put it where my back goes.
As l get into bed, l unplug it put it on my hands if they are cold and then l gently fling it somewhere safe!
