Hi

The virus thing is easy.

They have always been there, they are very simple and incredibly old.

The vast increase in population means humans are increasingly coming into contact with them and they are jumping species.

Humans have no natural immunity and this allows them to spread and mutate rapidly

Couple this with modern travel and the infection spreads world wide very quickly

I know viruses can mutate , but if they are not careful there well be no creatures to infect…one day they may kill all creatures and have no body to invade.

Everything wants more than it needs so greed is what will destroy our world !

reading dex’s post got me thinking…how much does a ton of coal cost nowadays

Actually Twink, the human immune system mutates with every new virus it encounters, so your forecast would be incorrect. Admittedly some will die from the virus, but many more will survive and be stronger because of it, otherwise the human race would have been wiped out long ago. That’s why it’s important not to have one of these new vaccines, they prevent the body from acquiring it’s own defences.

That doesn’t sound right to me Foxy!
It depends on the shape of the virus molecules! Of course your immune system will try to attack new molecules but it can’t always succeed fast enough to destroy all those that thrive! Why do you think they introduced live vaccines for things like Polio, Diptheria , TB & Smallpox. It was because they could kill before your body could produce antibodies.I studied this at school !
New covid vaccines helped prevent many vulnerable people from dying, and maybe a lot of people who cared for them… but we dont want to get back into those arguments because we all made the choice that we believed to be best.
I have not seen any reports that prove they prevent our own immune systems from working!

Hi

OGF has very firm views on some subjects.

We all do Swim, I just don’t see why we need to keep discussing this when we can all make our own decisions on having the jabs!

I’m not telling you not to have the jab Twink. It’s your body. I just wish the self righteous vaxxed folk would extend the same courtesy to the people who didn’t want the jab.
Twas you Twink who posted that virus’s would make the human race extinct. I disagreed.
These new vaccines are nothing like the old conventional vaccines that you mentioned. They mess with your immune system on a cellular level. DNA and all that stuff that not even scientists know much about…Yet!

There is a very profound message there about the futility of life.

The scientists don’t know much, but it’s a good job there are many experts on the internet! :grinning:

Anyway - could you please explain the link between Covid and the energy prices again?

This does not sound right to me.
If I heard someone make that claim, I would want to question the expert to see what that claim was based on.
Where did this figure come from?
How was it calculated?

As this article from 3 months ago explains, it is important to clarify what you are basing your calculations on.

By any calculation, I find it very difficult to believe that the green levy has increased from 8% - 12% only 3 months ago to a massive 40% of our energy costs now!

I tried to find some reference to this GB News expert who said 40% of the cost of our energy goes in green taxes - you’d think such shocking news would be widely reported - but couldn’t find anything about it.

I did find a reference to a tax payers alliance forecast from last January, saying that the green tax burden was on course to increase by more than 40 % during the course of Boris Johnson’s premiership - not to 40%.

Perhaps we shouldn’t have clean chlorinated water, pasteurised milk and central heating either? We may all die earlier but the human race would evolve to be stronger based on our sacrifices.

Hi

Are you sitting down OGF?

We have an NHS crisis due largely to bed blocking, insufficient Carers to look after them outside hospital.

The government have told hospitals to stop routine COVID tests, the care homes, home care providers and even the hospital transport are refusing to deal with patients until they are fully tested.

And even natures natural way of controlling populations Annie…
Good Morning by the way… :039:

good moaning to you too! :grinning:

There’s always one who takes it to the extremes…

haha just keeping it real!

Well they would say that wouldn’t they Boot…
However, I wish people would be as questioning over BBC and other main stream media reports as they seem to be with GB news.
