Emmerdale

Val isn’t homophobic as her son Paul is gay and went to Australia with his partner.

I think her comments to young Fin are just tongue in cheek, but more seriously, she really should get herself checked out and quite honestly, I think she should confide in Eric, despite the possible outcome. It’s so important to be honest. At least then he’d know why she’s backed away from him, and she’d done that to protect him.

Think I’m getting a bit fed up with Emmerdale lately. Fed up with Declan’s miserable, scruffy face and attitude, doesn’t he look a mess.
Charity’s silly scheming about Rachael has got too far fetched and is getting boring too. Has “Rachael” gone off to have a baby in real life, or am I getting muddled up with another soap star?
Pria’s (spelling?) eating disorder is getting on me wick as well. And as for the so-called vet, Paddy, making pets of those pigs - ridiculous.
Just call me Mrs. Meldrew!!

We can at least be grateful that we are soon going to be saying bysiebye to Dom and his dreadful daughter (is she not one of the oddest looking females you have ever seen?).

One of the aspects of the Rachel story lines that I find hard to swallow is Lisa’s out and out hostility right from the start, after all the Dingles are no strangers to babies born out of wedlock, or to infidelity.

I hate Charity’s cockiness as in the way she talked to Rachel, and want that knocked out of her. Declan keeps saying Sam should lose his attitide: pot, kettle, black, Declan! So I want them both caught for their part in the insurance scam and blackmail. And as for keeping Jai’s money! Are there no depths to what this stinking pair will sink to? Will Mark come back to the village and ID them? Wll Jai ever get his money back? Answers on a postage stamp…!

And I want the Dingles proved wrong about Rachel. The scheming pair must slip up at some time…be overheard perhaps?

I’m glad about Gemma going, and hope her father follows. Never could accept them.

When’s Gemma going? That’s Dom’s daughter isn’t it, I don’t like her either, permanent sulky, schemeing little madam.

Looked like she died last night so last night I would guess

I think Gemma regains consciousness for a short while but then has a relapse and dies.

I read that the chap who plays Dom wanted to leave, so that would mean getting rid of his daughter some way or another as it would not have been possible for her to stay without her father. Hooray.

Just wish they’d stop dragging out the Rachel/Declan/Charity thing - getting bored with it now.

Charity & Declan seem to be the new Bonnie & Clyde! I don’t like Gemma either, dreadful acting! Dom is tasty though!

I wondered if Dom was going to get off with the female vicar, but perhaps not. I wonder if her and Ashley will get it together.

I wonder why that vicar exists! She’s awful!

Well, the dreadful Gemma’s gone & snuffed it! Belle acted very well I thought, I expect she’ll own up to pushing Gemma over & get Dom all uppity! With a bit of luck he’ll storm off with the vicar, Ashley will become vicar & get back with Bernice…all’s right with the world! They need new writers that’s for sure!

Did anyone notice that Harriet never paid for the sandwiches? And wouldn’t you have thought the B&B could have made their own coffee? And that those coffee takeaways are always empty?!

Yes, I too thought Belle was very good last night. I can’t get upset over Gemma & Dom as I’ve never taken to the pair and wondered what the point of them was.

So, what do you think we would do if Belle was our daughter?
Would you tell the Police about her pushing Gemma over, or would you do what Lisa is doing (so far) and keep quiet? That’s a difficult one.

A bit of a conundrum there, yes Belle pushed her, but then Donna refused to go with her and stormed off in a paddy. How was Belle supposed to know how serious the bang on the head was? The outcome was further complicated by everyone thinking Donna was at the Dingles. So it was more a confluence of events that resulted in her eventual demise.

Any legal type folk on here? For instance, would the Dingles be able to consult a solicitor as to Belle’s legal position, without going to the police and ‘confessing’?

I hope I would march her down the police station, do we know what the cause of death was? Brain haemorrhage or alcohol poisoning?

I like to think I would make them own up, we had a situation here when boys were smaller and oldest didn’t realise his strength and accidentally hurt his friend. We didn’t hesitate and went straight to the school when he owned up. Police were not involved but he had to take responsibility for the accident and I think he felt better eventually for doing so.

Mmm, that’s a point Twizard.
I think it was the haemorrhage though…?

Did Lisa get back from the ‘caravan’ by helicopter?! One minute she’s on the phone to Zak, the next she’s coming through the door! Are we to presume that a reasonable length of time had elapsed in between?

Eeeee, these writers DO insult our intelligence at times.
