Emmerdale

They seem to be doing it a lot lately. Rubbish ever since the Cameron thing, don’t really watch it anymore, it’s just on in the background. The pig thing is childish!

Completely agree Twizard. Childish, stupid and unrealistic (except to 5 year olds perhaps)! I have never met a vet who would behave like that. I wouldn’t trust a mouse to him let alone anything larger.

It’s a shame I used to enjoy the Paddy/Marlon thing.

I think he’s gone a bit peculiar since he shaved his head.

The whole Paddy and the pigs thing is stupid for a number of reasons. I forget, but did their original pigs have ear tags? If so then identifying their original owner should have been easy, as should have finding them amongst the pen of pigs, if they did ‘not’ have tags then surely those two dim wits should have noticed the tags? But, more importantly, as a rural vet Paddy should be more than aware of the rules governing pig keeping, the movement of pigs, the registration and licensing of pigs etc since foot and mouth. There is no way he would get away with walking one, never mind three pigs along country pathways, and the other two vets should have pulled him up on that one immediately.

Is that national rules about pig walking ? we regularly see one walking round the lake where we go. man walks his 6 dogs and huge grey and black pig. Thought I was going mad first time I saw it as he clearly lives in the middle of the housing estate which seems an odd place to keep such a big pig.

That brought back some old memories of when I reared an orphan lamb once. Penny her name was, a little black lamb. She used to get so distressed if she was left on her own, and one day she jumped in the back of my old van with the dogs as if to say “you’re not going without me this time”. After that, she always used to come out with me and the dogs and was happy as larry.

Doesn’t Declan look a scruffy wreck lately. I’ve gone right off him.

I really wish they would let someone have a happy marriage messing with David and Alicia’s marriage now, Val and Eric split = is anyone happily married any more ?

So who do you think is right?
Zac, letting Belle own up to the police, or Liza, who wanted to keep her quiet?
Personally, I agree with Zac.

To be honest I am not really sure on this one. It was deemed an accidental death, there was never any suggestion of foul play. And as has already been pointed out, a charge of murder presupposes that there was an intention to cause a persons death. I know people have been charged with manslaughter after pushing or even punching someone to the ground who have then subsequently sustained brain trauma and died but that has usually been on a road or pavement where there is a hard surface and it could therefore be argued that the person doing the pushing/punching did so without due care. But Belle pushed her away on grass, how was she to know that the girl would hit her head on the one rock in the area?

Furthermore the body has been cremated, so Belle’s solicitor cannot ask for another autopsy, so technically she will not get a fair trial.

And before anyone points it out, I know that the fuzz like to charge someone with the more serious option hoping it will stick but then drop it down to a lesser charge until it does. In which case Belle will probably merely get a slap on the wrist for not insisting the girl had medical intention.

I completely agree with Zac but I don’t agree with the police. Really going off Lisa these days she needs to support Zac and Belle more.

Yeah, I agree with you Julie. I wonder if the police are just be trying to scare her for not telling the truth in the first place though, cos it seems a bit drastic action otherwise.

Edna’s back ! I was beginning to wonder where she had gone.
And a winning scratch ticket ! this has potential

I hope she keeps the money. Didn’t she lose some in the past? Or has been poor since losing the job with Mr James? I know she was pleading poverty at some stage.

When I read in the tv guide that she had a winning card I have to admit, I wondered how. Never thought it would be a gift.

What’s betting (excuse the pun), that she will donate it to the church?

Thrown it in the bin! I’d be in them bins like a rabbit!
Have a feeling she didn’t…

You may well be right Stella.
Or maybe she is leaving the programme and they’re writing her out by sending her away on her winnings, to look after a relative in Oz or something . . .

Have to say it, I would be almighty p’d off if I had given someone a scratch card and then it had won big time! I defy anyone to disagree, cos them as does are just being a little sanctimonious.

Well I wouldn’t be giving something like that as I feel the same as Edna about gambling, but I do wonder what I would actually do if this happened to me - can’t answer unless it does really
