Eileen is unwell

Thanks again Mags, no she won’t like being in there with all the prodding and poking around. Sounds as if she is in a good place where they will get to the bottom of things, get her sorted and home soon.
Keep your pecker up Eileen, we all miss you, xx

Thank you for the update Mags . I was hoping the next news would be to say Eileen was home :frowning: . At least she knows we are all thinking of her.

Again thanks for the updates. Hope Eileen is feeling better soon & they find out what is wrong with her. It must be very frustrating for her being in Hospital. ((((( Hugs))))

Mags darlin’ - thank you for the update. I know from very recent experience how frustrating it can be to be laying in a hospital bed unable to do anything, but Eileen needs to understand, an MRI scan isn’t painful and will enable the Doctors to see exactly what is going on inside her that is causing her so much pain and discomfort. Tell Eileen, however frustrated and bored she becomes she needs to ‘stay put’ until the doctors have got to the bottom of her problems. Yes we’re all thinking of her and I too want Eileen home soon, but there is no point in the hospital letting her go until/unless they have discovered her medical problem and can treat it.

Thanks for the update Mags, sounds as if Eileen has really been through it. I really hope that the MRI scan is the last test she needs to have and that she’ll soon be home. She’ll probably be missing her lovely cat as well.

Get better soon Eileen xx

Dont blame her, its awful being in hospital, sorry Kitty, and you do have to wait for results, but it has been a few days now.Glad she is able to communicate anyway and wish her all the best.

I had an MRI and it does not hurt at all, not even uncomfortable. They are the best way of finding out exactly what is going on inside, a quicker diagnosis.

Thank you for the update on Eileen Mags. It sounds as if the hospital are being very thorough, which is important. Hopefully next week after the MRI they will have a clearer picture of what the problem is and will know the best way to help Eileen, so she can get back home. Fingers crossed.

Thanks for the update Mags. At least with the MRI scan they should be able to see what the problem is, which is causing Eileen so much discomfort. She will be desperate to get home, but hopefully it won’t be long before she’ll be able to do just that.

Thinking of you Eileen, and love and hugs winging their way to you…

I’ve had 2 MRIs and it’s not uncomfortable at all. The various noises are kind of interesting and the tech chatted to me regularly through the procedure. Hope she gets some answers soon. hugs

I’ve only seen MRIs on television and they look daunting so it is comforting to hear that people who have had them sound encouraging.

I never said that an MRI scan hurt. I just said I hated it and that was because of the unexpected noises from it which disturbed me which I hadn’t been warned about. No, there’s no discomfort or pain at all.

When I had mine, there was a point where it sounded like there was somebody on a 1000 cc motorbike a couple of inches from my head, revving, probably because they were concentrating on my brain! It was awful, but it didn’t hurt.

Every time there was a new noise, my heart leapt, so I don’t know how they expect you to be totally still. I didn’t mind the hums, but the grating noises were horrible.

Anyway, that was my own personal experience, so I hope Eileen will be just fine. It is the best way to see what the problem is.

If you weren’t warned about the noises ahead of time it would certainly be unsettling. I was told, and I was curious to hear them, so that helped.

As odd as this sounds I began to imagine how a symphonic background could be played to complement all those strange variations.

Just nipped over to Catsey Mags and they are preparing the van again for a trip over the seas - hilarious. I hope Eileen is feeling better today.

I really must hop over to Catsey for a look at this van, looks like a lot of fun

Yes, I’ve noticed that, Mary! I hope Elaine kits the van out better than last time … Eileen was out of hospital before the van reached her then! I must remind them to take a good compass!

i understand exactly what you mean it is awful being in hospital, all we can do it make people as comfortable as
possible, tests can be daunting and waiting round for results can be very stressful, the MRI is not in any way painful, but unless you know what to expect it can be a shock with the
noise.

as daft as it sounds on the three occasions i have been in
hospital myself i hated it

If I’d been warned about the MRI I would have been okay, but I wasn’t, and at the end of it I came out shaking like a leaf.

Anyway, this isn’t about me, it’s about Eileen, so I hope she’s coping well with the tests etc, and hope to hear something positive very soon. Pains in the back can be very difficult to diagnose as it depends on which part of the back is affected. The lass has been in pain for a while now though, and this does need sorting.

Eileen, we all care a great deal about you on here lass so hope you get well soon.

Mags darlin’ - where’s the Van sailing from??? - Do I need to find my Sextant, Chronometer, up-to-date Charts of the North Atlantic, and a good Compass binnicle. I hope the Van has a decent two-way radio and some survival equipment and a life raft too.

I hate this waiting…no more so than Eileen hates hospitals, I suspect. Hope to hear some good news soon.

Thinking of you Eileen ((((hugs)))) xx
