over rthe hols I decided to update My Adobe elements suite both for still and video to versions 2025 from tre 2020version. so different it is another learning curve but getting there. with stills the haze reduction is better

also the video editing so so much more to get to grips with. I now have a choice of extracting a video frame from the camcorder ,or from a downloaded video on the computer as below
no Bruce I have not. I am used to adobe from edition 9 onwards. But thanks for the suggestion. this 2025 edition for stills and video is quite a huge jump from edition 2020 which still has a couple of features, now missing in this latest one. So shall be keeping the 2020 as well
I meant to mention that I use VLC for taking still shots from a video. Sometimes it is handy for using as a background for a title or for creating a thumbnail for Youtube.
