Doing Things on your own

Do you like doing certain things on your own?

Can be anything you like?

Are you a loner?

I must say, I am so used to doing things on my own, like, shopping, visiting garden centres, going out for coffee, etc, etc…how about you?

What do you do alone, ?

What do you do as a couple or family together?

Jewellery design/making - prefer to do alone.

Card Making - can do alone - but it can be fun in a group when you can bounce ideas off each other.

Anything else that needs doing if/when I am the only one around

By and large I prefer doing things on my own (diy reading, cooking etc etc) but providing there’s someone else around, if you catch my meaning.

I like doing things on my own like shopping ,theatre, walks .
But i also go out with my son when he visits we go on walks , And ive booked a couple of Short breaks which he will be taking me along with his partner .

I use to go on Coach Holidays , but I would always end up with a dump of a room being solo .
Ive booked a 4 bedroom Property , and a Barn conversion so was able to ask family to stay too .

No I don’t like doing things on my own .
I like to share opinions and like the cameradie of doing things with others .

It depends what I’m doing, I prefer fishing on my own, the chance to be quiet, enjoy nature and declutter my head all at the same time, works for me.

Conversely I love being at football be it in the seats or on the terrace, I’ll go where the noisy support is usually with a drummer, love the banter the chanting and singing!

I like doing most things on my own, but admit I love the companionship of this forum…also my Christian forum, when we’re not arguing over scripture,:joy::rofl::thinking:

I like to get out with the camera once a week, and I prefer doing that alone, can concentrate better, no rush.

The rest of the time the d00ds are joined at the hip.

Not sure I catch your meaning, but I agree. I don’t require assistance reading a book, surfing the forums etc. or even cooking.

Hi

I need to do something to get the BP up.

I naturally run at 90/60 , which is low but acceptable, great for endurance.

At the moment my heart is not working at all well, it is around 70/50.

I’m a sociable person mostly but I also enjoy my own company.
In fact I need that sometimes to re-charge.
I’d perfectly happily eat out, visit galleries, sight see, join classes and holiday on my own…

Oh yeah and the other one @swimfeeders !!!

When I got divorced when the kids were small, I had to learn to be fairly independent until I found the present incumbent!

So while I prefer company for most things I don’t let it stop me if I can’t find anyone to do it with me.

So if there’s a film I want to see, and exhibition, an event, I ask family and friends if they fancy it, usually someone does, but if there’s no takers, I do it on my own

I’ll go out for coffee or lunch on my own but I’ve never done an evening dinner in a restaurant, I don’t think I’d like that?

I hate doing crafts in groups! That’s definitely a solo for me, although I’ll go on my own to classes and workshops if it’s something I want to learn

I’ve been on holiday with just the children when they were tots but not just me on my own. Not sure about that.

Cooking OK on my own but I love cooking with someone else, reading is pretty solitary for most people? I prefer to watch tv shows with someone else but still enjoy them solo

Walking is a tricky one, on the beach and in the woods I enjoy on my own but also sometimes find it a bit lonely. But I’m not a group joiner and couldn’t take those hiking groups with the U3A and Ramblers etc

Swimming I’m OK on my own but it’s much more fun with swimming buddies around

I suppose I’m one who prefers company, really, but can still enjoy doing things on my own if I haven’t got any

Apart from the occasional visits/meals with My Clan…I do everything by Myself…I find younger Folk think They know everything, and older Folk moan about everything…oops.…so…
I’ll try to apply myself
And teach my heart how to sing
I’ll go my way by myself like a bird on the wing
I’ll face the unknown
I’ll build a world of my own
No one knows better than I myself
I’m by myself alone.
