Do you still wear a mask?

Though the risk reduction from cleaning items or quarantining mail is likely to be small, these behavioural changes are relatively easy to implement and stick to.

Other people take the opposite response to the risks posed by Covid-19: flouting social distancing guidelines and refusing to wear masks

It’s safer to be careFUL than careLESS …

:+1:

The current persistence of the pandemic is almost entirely due to the irresponsible behaviour of the latter … :mask:

Mask wearing? I am medically exempt, but I wear a clear visor and a single layer home made face ‘covering’ (old T-shirt shirt sleeve cut-up) just to show other shoppers I am protecting them to some extent. I am the same on the buses during the odd occasion I take the local Hoppa Circuit Bus into town for an excursion into Poundland or Wilco to spend a few pence on some trivia. For my regular hospital visits I will willing wear the mask provided so that I can get past the obligatory Brunhilda Trunchbull door sentry. I kid ye not, she is a sight that has to be seen and not one to disregard LMAO … No mask, no entry!!!

Precisely. If I do all I can to keep clean and stay healthy, then I know I did my best. :+1: Oh I’m editing this in response your edit…yes wiping everything down is a habit now and I don’t think I could stop if I wanted to. I don’t quarantine mail, but I do wash my hands after touching it.

Good for you in still making an effort though, LD, despite your difficulties.

That made me laugh!

Actually, I’ve known her (Joy) for many years and under her tough exterior, she is a real sweetie and a pre C-19 cuddle form her used to be something to remember :+1::hugs:

Do you know of any brand that contains alcohol. :grinning: :biking_man:

I still wear a mask in public places and yesterday I had a hospital appointment and had to and all that were there.

I had an appointment at a hospital yesterday afternoon too. All and sundry were wearing masks. All, that is, except one woman (a patient) outside smoking and an ambulance man vaping.

It’s impossible to enter our main general hospital unless you do wear a mask. Each entrance has it’s own Mathilda Trunchbull on sentry duty who points to the notice and also to the box of masks ready for the public to use. . no escaping a Trunchbull LOL!!

Yes, the only places that insist on mask wearing have a box of masks at the ready. So no, I don’t ordinarily wear one now.

In Scotland it is still mandatory on buses and shops etc.

Yes, still a bit early to break the habit.

Mandatory is an interesting word. It’s mandatory, as in “must be worn unless you are exempt” on London buses: only about 10% of people bother.

By law, everyone age 12 and over must wear a face covering in most indoor public places in Scotland.
But it is a law impossible to enforce and as you say some people just don’t bother and I have noticed that it is mainly the younger generation who have this attitude towards masks.
I hate them with a passion and technically I am exempt.

I wear a mask in busy places such as supermarkets have to admit where I live most people wear them but not outside and I don’t wear them walking to the table in restaurants I always thought that was daft because you take it off at the table anyway.

Hi

Yes I do.

We have very high infection rates in Shropshire.

The medical staff very much appreciate me doing so.
