Do you remember pop rocks? And other old-time candies

Well excuse me I’m sure!
We all have our little indulgences.

got a bag of blackjack from a local farm shop

Ah!
Variety was the spice of life…

Oh yes, lovely fizzy spangles! Fruit pastilles, fizzy coca cola jellies, pear drops, I was a sweet freak, I’m sure I ate too many as a youngster, especially lollypops. I loved Bazooka Joe bubble gum too. I went to the dentist a lot, in fact it was a real trauma for me and I still have a dentist phobia! :scream:

Ah!
Bazooka Joe, grief that stuff could give your jaw a serious workout! Yes I was pretty much hooked on everything in your retro confectionary list. We mustn’t forget those lemon sherbet sweets, they were hard and crunchy on the outside, when you got through the shell there was an eye wateringly sour helping of sherbet

But yes, I take your point, my dentist and I weren’t exactly the best buddies either

Yes, I remember those too. I also liked sherbet dips.

Yes I’ve seen them in one of those retro type sweet shops. My teeth aren’t as tough as they were so I tend to stick with the occasional packet of wine gums or dolly mixtures

I have not seen rock candy or lemon drops in a long time but I don’t really check the candle aisle, like I did as a kid

You probably still have The Mint with the hole in UK but when I see it in some shops over here, I do get nostalgic, so I buy a packet
It’s a shame we don’t have the fruit flavour ones.
