I do a hula hoop type exercise … good for the sciatica.
I walk for mile & miles everyday, not so much when it’s raining but rain doesn’t put me off.

My exercise comes from watching Mrs Fox use the hula hoop…
The dog and I go out maybe six times a day! Half long walks, and half short/quick ones.
Where did this thread suddenly reappear from?
I haven’t exercised for almost two weeks to be honest, not normal for me. I intend to put that right tomorrow.
I get enough exercise at work.
Well that’s it in a nutshell actually Purwell. These past two weeks I’ve been so busy with re-organising and re-warehousing stock in time for our huge new extension to our operation that physically I’m drained.
To do my regular gym sessions on top of that is simply foolhardy at my age and to be perfectly honest, I haven’t put any weight on whatsoever. It’s just the fatigue and my state of mind that is suffering!
I must make a concerted effort tomorrow though, having no other plans this weekend.
That’s the problem Purwell, working keeps you supple, strong and with plenty of stamina, when you retire you must think about keeping in good shape without too many big dinners and boxed sets… I knew many a good friend who didn’t get to see much retirement…
I bought an exercise bike from Argos but by the second day, I returned it as it was evident that I wasn’t going to use it.
Top tip: never buy a watch from Argos as it will give you no end of trouble.
I’ll start next year! Honest!
Hi, Harry! Welcome to the forum. There’s no time like the present! Give it a go, even a short walk and come visit on the “Post Your Daily Exercise Routine” thread.
You had better do Harry. We’ll be watching!
my passion
heavy weight gym exercise is my passion. I feel down when I miss a day. I can just say that exercise is my fantasy
Wouldn’t go that far, its a means to staying alive a bit longer.
And doing the things a seventy one that you could do at twenty one…Just slower…
Do you exercise?
Of course I do.
Every morning, up - down - up - down twenty times.
Then the other eyelid.
And the question is of course, how would you know? ;-)
Since acquiring the pup, I have to say I am doing more walking than I used to which was always part of the plan. I started walking him at 6;30 in the morning for a while which was great and I could feel myself getting fitter for it but recently I have discovered that he is not a morning dog and now refuses to walk anywhere before 10am.
Still doing two walks per day though, only 25mins each a the moment until he is older.
I.ve stopped doing cardio work at the gym now as I ve developed a problem with my heart . I do swim and walk however .
Sorry to hear that. Is that related to the exercise in anyway LQ?
We also do two. The first is usually an hour and the second a half hour or more. Our dog is off the lead for most of it and noses around so he travels a lot further than we walk.
