It does that but the sonicare has a different tempo from the Oral B so if you’re used to one type of brush you have to keenly study the mini fifty page pamphlet with the tiny text in 20 different languages & not just plug in and play as I would. The sonicare is more gentle on plaque/enamel but with the right brush head does wonders for the gums. I felt my gum health deteriorated with the oral B. It’s just my experience.
They do all sorts of brush heads now so you have to know which to choose. It’s as confusing as choosing toothpaste. Sensodyne now have about 5 or 6 formulas (I always go for the original and run out of the shop when confronted by so much choice).
Yes some of them are a total waste of money. The ones linked to a smartphone app are pointless. I just buy a basic one and get the gum health brush heads. The first one I bought cost just under £100 and that was 20 years ago. I’ve had about 3-4 since. The brush heads can be pricey. But cheaper than the hygienist prices quoted here.
I’ve had some bad experiences with hygienists. One damaged my tooth just before lockdown. Left me in pain & with sensitivity for months.
The dentist at the surgery said it should settle down in a while. Little did I know how long or that lockdown was coming. He has since sold the practice.

I think the Bot’s either been on steroids, or it’s been down the pub too long.
It is getting more and more hyper, and if it keeps up with this nonsense, we’ll have to sedate it.
He’ll have to mend his ways first, else no one will have him.
