Decided to stay put (rather than move)

…and George Clarke thrown in for good measure

Ooh I say, how do I go about it?

Tart!! :lol::lol:

I’d rather have Nick Knowles meself…

 Shameless hussy aint I.

Well I would ‘love’ to hear that you are at last settled Mups
x

Thanks Patsy, I will be one day, it’s just frustrating till we get there. x

Is that the Royal We.

Definitely not - flicks wig and flounces off …:-p

Silly sausage, I meant ‘We’ as in people in general who go through frustrating times. This seems to be ‘my’ time to take turn, but I am trying to be positive and that’s why I told Patsy I WILL be alright - one day.

Good for you, Mups. Keep those positive thoughts because eventually it will have been worth it.

Well, they’re coming to excavate the drains today, because the twits didn’t do it last week when they were here. So we’ll see what adventures today brings . .

I hope it goes ok Mups  ‘It all make work for the working man’ as they say

Like that Meg.

The men have been and gone now. They seemed quite pleasant. I’ll have to wait for the report to be written up and sent to me now.
In a way I hope its next door’s flippin’ huge conifers causing my walls to crack, cos then he’ll have to cut them down. He’s never pruned them once in the 8 years I’ve been here, he just leaves them to grow bigger and bigger and I have to keep forking out for someone to come in and cut the overhang.

Pleased it went better for you this time around
Now its a wait and see …

Yes. Thanks Patsy.

That didn’t sound too painful then Mups

That part wasn’t painful, but it will depends what the report reveals later.

Well, I finally heard today, the house insurance people say the problems are due to the old drains. They have now written to the area water authority asking them to do repair work.
I asked how long this is likely to take, because I have got the builders starting around middle of July, and the will need to dig down to the drains for the new foundations.
I was told to phone the water people myself and explain the urgency, and there isn’t long to get the job done, because the builders will be waiting to come in and start soon.
The water people then said, they don’t just take the insurers word for it - they come and do their own investigations first, and the twerp couldn’t tell me when it might be yet!

So it looks like there will be more problems to sort now. The water people aren’t going to want to pay if they can blame the insurers, and the insurers won’t want to pay if they can make the water people take responsibility.

Meantime, while they argue and take it in turns to dig holes everywhere, the builders and the kitchen planners were already booked, so now I’m worried everything is going to have to be put on hold till this is sorted, and I’ll lose my builder now.

Oh well, perhaps problems are there for solving, and at least they have now agreed not to charge me the excess twice, which they tried to do, and I refused. Cheeky monkeys!

What a nuisance Mups :frowning: some things are never simple are they.

Aaaaargh!! I’m screaming for you, Mups.
