I can’t find a smiley of a little garden gnome dancing, which is how I feel today.
I am tentatively optimistic after receiving a letter from the Ombudsman, and enclosing a copy of the letter he has written to the insurance company.
He agrees with me!!! It seems he thinks I have been treated unfairly and they have dragged everything on too long without coming to a suitable conclusion. He even suggested a small amount of compensation for the stress and worry this has caused me all the years since it began.
He has given them 7 days to respond, so I will await the next step.
I hope I haven’t tempted fate telling you too soon . . . .
Thanks ladies. I am frightened to get too excited, because the insurers might refuse the suggestions made, and make more excuses yet. But they have now been given 7 days to contact the Ombudsman to say whether they will agree with him or not. So I await the outcome next week.
Oooh don’t worry Mups, you’ve got officialdom on your side now with the Ombudsman.
Great news Mups woohoo, is the end of the fight in sight we ask ourselves?
Did you say ‘wear a frock’! OMG, now if the stress of what you’ve been through didn’t cause you grief, wearing a frock might just be the end.
Be on the safe side petal and best leave thoughts of a frock alone
Course you can have a cyber party…just stock up on the drinks and get folk to bake cakes and Bob’s your uncle.
It’ll be the biggest thread of the year :-p
I don’t know if I could handle an over excited Great Nom though, Pesta, he’s bigger than me. Still . . . it could be fun trying. http://yoursmiles.org/csmile/wink/c05129.gif
Mind you, a garden gnome will be bigger than me if I shrink much more.
Still resurrecting this old thread, because this stupid insurance claim is STILL rumbling on. They are coming back out next week to do another monitoring.
In the meantime, thanks to TPIN telling me to go to the ombudsman, I did - and they have ruled that I have been badly treated and got me a modest amount of compensation.
Mind you, I haven’t actually seen it yet - and will struggle to believe it till I actually see it in my bank - but I am immensly to pleased to know I was right in complaining, because I do question myself at times.
