PR - this is my response to Arena getting my very similar clue to Fatal Attraction shortly before Xmas, following your post congratulating Arena on just beating you to it…

I have this vision that in a few years some of us will still be plugging away at this thread and changing the film title will be redundant because we’ll have forgotten the last one after a couple of hours. I’m making a mental note to think of a clue for Groundhog Day before that day arrives :-D:102::077:

This film is extremely well known and, for its era, very innovative. It was nominated for a handful of Oscars of which it won one and a handful of Baftas of which it won several.
The clue is pretty straightforward, part cryptic and part synonyms.
