Thanks Mags. My GP persuaded me it would be milder. She had also had a bad reaction to AZ 1st dose. Hope she was right!

I have to say I was very impressed with the organisation and this time I didn’t even feel it.

Ok so I had my second AZ jab this morning. Managed to go shopping and do some gardening, put the washing on, repark the car, then boom walking down the road in the sun to the car I felt like I was on drugs. Now propped up with pillows in bed with the tower fan on oscillate and have had some soup (which helped) and paracetamol. Just waiting for it to get worse.

The reaction was faster than last time. Just over three hours.

Oh Annie, poor you, not again.

Don’t think I would, just incase you have to take more medication later.
Have two glasses tomorrow instead.

Thanks OGF I zonked out and had a nap. Back out of bed now. The real test will be tomorrow but it does feel a bit different this time. (as in better different)

There’s a rumour going round that the common cold (which is also a coronavirus) gets a positive test result. Could that be the reason that some people report no, or very few symptoms? Plus, it would be unlikely that they would be admitted to hospital, hence the low hospital attendance in this recent outbreak… That would certainly screw up the figures if it was true…

That seems to be right, granddaughter’s boyfriend had what he thought was a cold, got a low reading on lateral flow test, then with granddaughter were both confirmed as positive with Covid .
Granddaughter (a teacher) had both jabs, and is now suffering with sniffles and sneezes…her boyfriend, one jab the same.
So the rumour seems to have legs.

Thanks, they have been advised to self isolate for 10 days though and immediate families were required to have a test, yesterday…results today show everyone negative…a relief

I feel fairly normal Mups just a bit down/emotional compared to normal, but physically more or less ok. Nothing like the first dose. It’s a relief to be able to do normal things. The symptoms are very watered down. More like what others have described. Thanks for asking.
