Covid-19 Vaccinations

Good to hear Mart, hope you have no ill effects with your Pfizer jab, I had a little bit of headiness on the second day after but it only lasted a couple of hours so not sure if it was a reaction or not. Absolutely fine since.

Did that happen first time too, Mags?

Iā€™m feeling lousy today, fatigue and a bit shivery
And my arm feels like Anthony Joshua used it for a punch bag!

Just as well you are off school, Rhian.

Take it easy, and hope you feel better tomorrow.

Certainly not! You can still be infected by the virus, though it will be fought off by your body. Nevertheless, you can still pass it on to others.

What do you think all the young covidiots are doing? Theyā€™re young and feel few if any effects themselves, but are happily spreading it to everyone they meet.

Thanks Mups, I will

The first Pfizer jab I had , I think I developed some symptoms, I say I think because Iā€™m not sure
Had the jab on a Friday, and on Saturday I woke up with headache ( not unusual for me as I often get them) , our car was in the garage Saturday morning so we had a couple of hours to fill, walking round tadcaster ( not a big place) , anyway, I got home and was absolutely shattered, had to have a lay down, my arm also hurt, I didnā€™t sleep well on Friday night so perhaps this was all linked
Had the second jab on Sunday afternoon, was ok yesterday arm a bit sore but nothing like last time, felt ok, a bit tired, got into bed last night and I started shivering uncontrollably, but only for about 5 minutes or so, again I didnā€™t sleep so well, but, apart from feeling a little tired , Iā€™m ok, now wether this is linked to having the jabs is hard to tell, it could be due to me not sleeping well , I donā€™t know

How Iā€™m feeling today is definitely how I felt when I had the virus, just not so severe.
I would say that your symptoms were as a result of the vaccines for sure Primus

No Mups, no reaction the first time.

This may have had nothing to do with the vaccine as Mr Mags was fine and usually he is the one who would get a reaction.

My little ā€˜turnā€™ didnā€™t last long so it may not have been associated with it at all.

ā€œTedC Two Jagsā€, as of today.

Easy- never felt a thing!

Apparently thereā€™ll be Booster Jags, later in year, to cover the next time period.

So itā€™ll be 3 jags by Xmas!

What? More?

The way things are going, theyā€™re going to have to send us all ā€˜home vaccination kitsā€™ to keep topping ourselves up every week!

Well done Ted! :023:

Glad you arenā€™t too bad Mags.

Thank Mups, Iā€™m as right as rain now.

I wrote about this 3rd booster some while back, JBR.

Apparently they are going to ā€˜tweakā€™ the present vaccine to try and cover the newer variants. It will be this newer jab after September that they will be wanting us to have.

I did say at the time, I definitely do not like the thought of having 3 vaccines in little over 6 months!

I had more or less the same about 2 days after the 1st vaccination. Slightly achy leg muscles too. Nothing that made me feel very ill. I thought it might be nothing to do with being vaccinated but maybe it was. An early night and I was OK in the morning.

Nothing so far after todayā€™s jab. Iā€™ll be riding my bike to the allotment in the morning and doing some digging ā€¦and the same the day after. That will show up any weakness.

It was on the news this morning that Canada and Germany had stopped the use of the AstroZeneca vaccine in the under 60 year olds because the chance of blood clots is higher than originally thought. Donā€™t have much detail on this yet.

All but two of the clotting cases involved women aged 20 to 63

I suppose this wonā€™t worry people on this forum too much as we are over that age.

I didnā€™t expect the side effects to be showing so quickly, I thought it would be perhaps a year down the line, following the accumulative effect.

Some countries stopped using the AZ vaccine due to alleged risks of clotting, but the WHO and every other medical organisation that has looked at the data has said there is no evidence of increased clotting risk above the number of people who get clots anyway on a daily basis, which is usually about 2 per every 1000 head of population.

Germany and France were back using it again, although some people are not wanting it because they believe what has previously been said.

Iā€™ve not heard of alleged problems again over here. I canā€™t see any mention of this in the last two weeks on any of our national news outlets.

Well you wouldnā€™t would you Fruitcake, if they did mention any concerns about the vaccine people would avoid it like a turd in a swimming poolā€¦
They didnā€™t accept that statins could have a dramatic effect on mobility eitherā€¦
