All those volunteers at the jab centres - a full time job!
unpaid job
I thought you had to stay for half an hour for observation to ensure you donāt react badly to the injection? at least that is what is happening here apparently.
We have also been told not to get the flu jab, that usually comes out in April. My friend was told not to get the flu jab within a fortnight of getting the Covid vaccine, I donāt know that there is any science behind this just an abundance of caution.
The pfizer vaccine has a 15 minute observation period Bruce, AZ doesnāt.
The flu jab is meant to be 2-3 weeks before the covid vaccine so as not to interfere with the immune response to Covid.
Ah! I wondered why they kicked me out straight away.
I assume that if you are having the second jab of Pfizer then they wouldnāt do the 15 mins again as itās all about the allergic reaction.
We only have the AstraZenica all the imported Pfizer went to the front line and medical workers. Actually it now says āyou will be asked to wait at least 15 minutesā.

Iāve read some recent reports about AZ allergy so maybe thatās why. But here they cross examined on whether Iād had any history of allergy and to what. They are probably more cautious in Australia.
No Annie, I still had to wait 15 mins after my second Pfizer jab today.
I was only in the surgery for about 5 minutes. Four quick questions and the needle was in my arm before I realised. It was one of my own doctors who gave me the vaccine.
No bad reactions by the way.
Apparently we also have to fill out a consent form when we arrive or bring it with us (as well as our Medicare card).
I presume this is so they know who to issue the vaccination certificate to and so the medical centre/nurse gets paid by the health department.
Feeling fine this morning, slept like a log last night, in fact it was was best sleep Iāve had for a long, long time.
No soreness, pain or discomfort in either of us.
Iāve got mine Monday
Hope it goes well for you Rhianā¦
Well, Iāve had it
On Friday, all the residents at the care home had their second jab, not enough for the staff so we were asked to book our own, so long story short, Iāve just had my second Pfizer jab, they phoned me this morning and I had it at 2-15, so Iām all done nowā¦
I have mine tomorrow, AZ
Any side effects Primus?
Just a bit of info from the US, Primus and others.
I had the Moderna vaccine 1st shot one month ago, then two days ago I had the second.
First shot was a breeze, second shot hurt and took longer. Could certainly have been the different gals working. Nothing except a sore arm for the first 8 hours, then some tiredness in the evening. I didnāt sleep well, so tired all day yesterday until evening. No other symptoms, no nausea, fever, headache, chillsā¦
This morning I have my old bounce back, and feel like the last two days never happened.
Hereās a bit of a laugh, though. The first shot I had I dreamed at night, and actually woke myself up laughing out loud! Almost like a giggle, as I knew I shouldnāt be laughing but couldnāt stop.
Then, dreamed again with the second about some tall, thin jokers wearing blue pointed dunce hats, blue jackets, and long blue and white striped stockings, dancing about. I was calling them Blue Billyā¦
Now, I either need a new life or I need to be locked up. No comments, please. :-D:lol:
Well done Primus I wish I had been given mine but it is not 12 weeks till the end of Aprilā¦
Well I thought I was Tom Jones, but apparently itās not unusual
Mine should be second week of May. My YS should be due her second now.
