Corrie

Oh you are clever eccles, I never thought of that.
On the other hand, Jim was a very jealous man, so if he does reappear, there will no doubt be another storyline about the two men’s rivalry.
Of course, it is also possible in my excitable head, that Michelle’s mother might arrive to ‘have it out’ with her Oirish hubby and Jim might have to console her . . . swapsies?

Now that sounds quite plausible Mups - personally, I wouldn’t put Lith and Michelle’s dad together (I just can’t imagine her going out with someone that doesn’t look ‘hunky’) but it would make for a storyline like that!

Jim won’t be back for while so he won’t, as he’s still in prison so he is, for robbing a building society at gunpoint so he did.

Another powerful story, along with Emmerdale but, this time, do you feel sorry for David? I do, but I don’t, as he’s had this coming to him for years, but he genuinely does love his missus and kids. A sensitive issue I’d think. Mayhap one for the Jeremy Kyle Show!

On this occasion I do feel sorry for him they are treating him like he attempted to murder Nick but he didn’t go anywhere near that far, the accident happened because they were arguing nothing more.

One I don’t feel sorry for is Nick I think he is feeling sorry enough for himself without anyone else bothering.

Kylie too seems to think nothing is her fault !

And Gail yet again needs a slap

I hope Roy and Hayley actors win some sort of award for their wonderfully touching and underplayed scenes. They made me cry last night - such a change from all the snogging and open mouthed kisses and sex scenes most programmes seem to be addicted to.

I agree if they don’t win something it will have been rigged ! And does make me wonder why they don’t have better storylines for others as I am sure we have some fine actors in soaps who just rarely get a chance to shine due to the writers being so dire.

I’m another that feels sorry for David - have Corrie writers overlooked the whole cause & effect bit? If Kylie and Nick hadn’t done the do, and then kept quiet about it, none of this would have happened so - how come they’re all sitting comfy and warm whilst David has been slung out? I was surprised at Audrey as well - she is usually more level headed.

Well she seems to be believing he tried to kill Nick which of course he didn’t but oddly hasn’t protested his innocence of that crime.

Yes I agree with that eccles, that are such a believable pair aren’t they.

Perhaps because he knows jolly well he wanted to kill Nick?

I do feel sorry for David and find his wife’s behaviour obnoxious.

If she’d been a proper wife in the first place none of this would have happened. Yes he shouldn’t have done what he did, but the buck stops at her as far as I’m concerned.

He may have at one point wanted to but he didn’t follow through with it, think many people would be guilty of murder if only thinking about it was a crime.

I would add his brother to that mix as well - she didn’t cheat on him all on her own.

Yes, you’re probably right there Julie.
I suppose, on the other hand though, I wouldn’t be daft enough to grab someone’s steering wheel when they were driving.

I cannot quite remember but weren’t they actually stopped and chatting when the accident happened, Nick could have moved the car instead of sitting in the middle of the road waiting for a lorry to come along.

Mmm, food for thought . .

I personally don’t feel sorry for David. I do blame Gail for indulging him too much, shaping the way he’s become, but he treats her abysmally!

Not sure if he’ll ever get that chip off his shoulder, as in always being in Nick’s shadow and feeling the underdog.

Wonder if he’ll ever change, or if he’s finally grown up?

I don’t remember Gail indulging him much he was the forgotten son when she had her Nick and then Sarah got pregnant so young, he only really had his Dad’s attention and then of course he left and David really started to play up. Perhaps Gail could have punished him more when he played up but I have a feeling it wasn’t what he needed really.

Well, that’s what I meant…letting him get away with a lot. I felt like shaking her many times!

Gail is definitely responsible for the way David turned out, 100%, as is any parent, so she should be blaming herself but, when Martin left her, she tried to take his place and perhaps suffocated David too much who no longer had a father figure, especially through the problems with Richard Hillman who tried to kill them all. A very troubled young man, and who indeed does need to be psychologically assessed and treated for his underlying anger, probably brought on because his dad left him at such a young age.
